In 2006, YRPG set up Jiangsu (YRPG) New Medicine Research Institute by integration of R & D resources. The Institute was listed as key R & D institute program during the 11th five-year plan by Jiangsu government and Jiangsu Science and Technology Department.
        Jiangsu (YRPG) New Medicine Research Institute consists of one body which is Taizhou headquarters, and three wings which are the Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing subsidiaries. Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing subsidiaries are respectively engaged in the discovery, selection and research of innovative chemical medicines, innovative biological medicines and innovative traditional Chinese medicines, or rather, the upstream technology research on innovative medicines. The headquarters are engaged in the downstream technology research of innovative medicines, including the research on druggability and pharmaceutical preparation technology. In this way, there came into being the scientific research system with the upstream technology and the downstream technology in proper labor division and coordination.

In 2008, YRPG invested over 200 million to build a mansion for the Institute in Taizhou. The mansion consists of one building with 15 floors, another one with 9 floors and one academic lecture hall. Its total area is over 30,000 meters. It is facilitated with:
 over 10 standardized synthesis research labs;
 over 20 analysis and testing labs;
 the lab for scale test, the lab for pilot scale test, the room of analysis instrument, the room of information and intelligence, the library, the file room, and other labs and functional offices;
 over 40 synthesis reaction devices;
 granulation, blending, tableting, pill, coating, filling and freezing machines for scale test (over 20);
 HPLC, liquid chromatography mass spectrometry, full-automatic dissolution tester and other large advanced precision equipment (over 100).
The mansion has been established and put into use, with first-rate platform conditions and hardware facilities in China. It is a new independent technology innovation center with Jiangsu characteristics and adaptability to the market. The Institute will be a technological prop for the technology leapfrogging and restructuring.
