From October 15 to October 16, the 11^th Self-medication Annual Conference was hosted by China OTC Medicines Association in Changsha, Hunan Province. The conference released the ranking of OTC pharmaceutical companies and OTC products in 2014. Our products Weisu Granules, Bailemian Capsules, Lanqin Oral Solution were among the top three respectively in categories of digestive, headache and insomnia, and other.
This conference, themed “New Opportunities, Brand Creation, Great Health,” set three forums: Medical Policy Summit Forum, OTC Brand Creation Cooperation Forum, and Great Health Brand Promotion Forum. In response to the new policy regarding China’s medical regulation, the forums gave sufficient discussions on the new opportunities to OTC industry, how to achieve win-win in brand creation, and promotion of great health industry using media. The state regulatory departments, manufacturers, retail pharmacies, media and representatives from public institutions promoted the self-medicine industry and public health via the exchange of ideas.
OTC medicines have double properties as both consumer goods and a kind of medicine. The companies of the OTC shall convey scientific information and safeguard the safety of consumers based on the quality assurance. The brand of a company is a commitment and guarantee to the safety, quality and reliability of its products. The awards and honors to YRPG was therefore an acclaim of YRPG on its effect of OTC, and will inspire YRPG to continue to carry forward its philosophy of “seeking progress and safeguard all human being”, provide more quality medicines and create excellent brands.
