Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group was awarded Jiangsu Quality Award among five companies. The award was another major award in quality since it has won Mayor of Taizhou Quality Prize. YRPG was the first company of Taizhou enterprises and in Jiangsu Medical Industry to win such an honor, which demonstrated that it was blazing the trial in enhancing quality and seeking excellence and has won recognition from Provincial Government.
Jiangsu Quality Award was the highest award set up by Jiangsu People’s Government. The Award, based on Excellence Performance Evaluation Standards to evaluate the quality of operation and management, quality of products, quality of customer-service and performance in CSR, was an award that can measure the comprehensive management and operation in domestic and international industries. In 2013, 33 companies in Jiangsu applied for Jiangsu Quality Award, and 5 were final-listed. YRPG, through material assessment and review, inquiry and defense, on-site assessment and holistic evaluation, won the award with No.1 position in total score. During the on-site assessment, experts expressed their praise on YRPG’s effort in corporate cultural development, enhancement in technical prowess, control of quality, R&D of product, independent innovation, devotion to marketing innovation, marketing service, proactive brand strategy, human-oriented values, staff involvement and satisfactory rate, corporate social responsibility and setting up a good image.
Over the years, YRPG has taken quality as the core values in quality development. The company introduced Excellent Performance Management in 2005 and has been learning from international advanced management practice and regime. The company uses excellent performance management as the strategic measures in building a world-class pharmaceutical company which seeks continued improvement, excellence and competitiveness. YRPG has won nine consecutive champions in QC results in China; over 20 products have reached EU and US pharmacopeia standards. By the end of 2013, all the workshops and preparations of group have passed GMP certification, among which the certification of non-axenic medicine such as solid preparation and oral solution were two years ahead of the state-specified time frame.
Xu Jingren, the company’s Chairman, said that YRPG would continue to build up its strength on the Jiangsu Quality Award, further strengthen quality control, seek excellent performance, reform at a new starting point, innovate and develop, improve its quality edge and competitiveness, and forge a solid quality for the company, Taizhou and Jiangsu at large so as to contribute to the realization of Chinese Dream.
