The 2013 Annual Conference was held in the international conference center in the afternoon on December 31. Zhang Lei, Party Secretary of Taizhou, Wang Jian, Vice Party Secretary of Gaogang District, Yang Jie, Vice Mayor, and Xu Jingren, Chairman of YRPG, attended the conference. Xu Jingren reported to the conference and Zhang Lei addressed the conference.
Xu Jingren reported to the conference with the theme of Carrying Forward the Spirit of Innovation, Applying Three-at-the-Same-Time Strategy and Working Towards a Performance-Oriented Enterprise. Xu summarized the achievements and performance over the past year, analyzed the economic situation for pharmaceutical industry and underlined the general command, basic thoughts and key tasks in the next year in terms of economic work.
In face of the complicated economic situation since 2013, where the medical reform has entered a critical period, pharmaceutical industries accelerated upgrade and transform. Amid multiple challenges from price plunge of drugs, low-price bidding and anti-corruption wave, YRPG has faced up against all odds, seized opportunities, promoted steady growth by restructuring, enhanced vitality through reform and innovation. YRPG has made noticeable progress with its sales and profit and tax up by 15% and 11%, making new highs. The company has won Demonstrative Pharmaceutical Company in Trust Building in China, Best Research and Development Department, Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility in China, Jiangsu Management Innovation Demonstrative Company, etc. The company has again become the top three in China’s pharmaceutical companies, Top 100 in Chemical Pharmaceutical Companies and China’s Fortune 500 (308^th Place) and it was the ninth time to be the biggest winner of QC results.
Xu Jingren pointed out that YRPG was seeking sound and steady growth following the spirit of 18^th party congress and third plenary session. By focusing on quality and benefit, YRPG was restructuring, promoting new products, preventing risk and stabilizing growth. It has been lowering cost through intensified management and enhancing benefit through market expansion. The company’s operational performance has been rising steadily; it has been promoting through academic channels, promoting internal reform and innovation, stepping up the growth of its subsidiaries and beefing up party organization, which further enhanced its comprehensive strength, laying a solid foundation for the next round of development.
Xu Jingren said there was uncertainty in the growth of pharmaceutical industry in the coming year, but the prospect for YRPG was bright. The government is increasing its expenditure on medical and health cause, the use of drugs increases as the universal medical insurance is applied; the flourishing of health industry has brought new opportunities for pharmaceutical companies. In face of new situations, he said, we should be confident and gauge the difficulties and challenges, enhancing strategic planning, enhancing response ability, seek a route of transformation with more confidence, boldness, intelligence and ensure the sustained development of the company.
Xu Jingren stressed the general requirements and targets for the economic work in 2014, highlighting that the focus should be given to carry forward the spirit of the 18^th party congress, the third plenary session and central government economic work conference. YRPG should stick to its core values of quality, innovation, benefit and endeavor, seek steady progress and innovation and reform, accelerate the model of development, promote the innovative strategy of three medicine in one go, introduce high-end talent, step up the release of new products. YRPG shall further enhance the reform in sales, optimize the promotion system, unlock market potential, promote reform in management, enhance efficiency and benefit, quicken its quality system progress to catch up with international standards, enhancing company’s ability to grow, accelerate its international expansion and ensure that it reaches its objectives.
Xu Jinren said that the nine aspects shall be paid attention to in the coming year:

1. Carry forward an enterprising, innovative and reform-minded spirit and foster positive energy in the company. We should take the opportunity of party’s mass route education campaign to guide party members and managers of the company in their outlook on career, values and life, refrain from sticking to old rules and shall focus on working together as a company.
2. We should promote innovative transformation of R&D, step up the release of new products and explore the routes for new medicine R&D and their promotion. We should be market-oriented, develop products that fit market demands, introduce academic leading figures, integrate resources, enhance quality of R&D and give priority to exclusive and differentiated products.
3. We shall enhance the academic approach to marketing, explore the market potential and build a sustainably profitable marketing model. We shall concentrate our effort, be positive-minded, strive for persevere approaches in bidding for basic and non-basic medicine. We should take AAA hospitals as the main targets and further enhance the academic marketing level and effect.
4. We should innovate human resources management, introduce high-level personnel to provide human resource guarantee and intelligent support. We should plan human resource management from a strategic perspective, build a multi-layered human concentration, optimize talent pool and expand the group of experts.
5. We shall strengthen internal control system, promote smart management model and promote a step forward from good performance to excellent performance. We shall continue to promote excellent performance management, introduce six-sigma smart management, promote FDA and EU GMP in a steady manner and accelerate the catching up with international advance quality system.
6. We shall enforce the subcontracting assessment approach and build competition platform to promote fast growth of subsidiaries. We should fully tap the strength of subsidiaries in location, resources and policy support. We should attract high-end personnel and good project to improve professional level of our production and operation.
7. We should step up the key project to promote industrial upgrade and create new growth point.
8. We should enhance international cooperation and exchange, expand overseas business and accelerate YRPG’s international expansion.
9. We should contribute to party culture and live up to our social responsibility by enhancing employee’s happiness and belonging.

Zhang Lei, on behalf of municipal party committee and government, expressed his congratulation to YRPG in 2013 and expressed his hope for the company in 2014. He encouraged YRPG to follow the spirit of third plenary session of 18^th party congress, focus on innovation and reform, enhance sense of calling, responsibility and endeavor, seek breakthrough in independent innovation, sales reform, quality building and internationalization, enhance the company’s core competitiveness and be actively involved in international competition, so that YRPG could tower above in domestic and international markets and make more contribution to social economic development.
Xu Jingren signed subcontract contracts of 2014 with principals of the three bureaus and the subsidiaries, and presented awards to advanced groups, excellent managers, sales models, labor models and technical models.
