On November 12, the 2013 YRPG (Suzhou) Pharmaceutical Industrial Technological Exchange Conference was held in Suzhou. Leaders from Suzhou Food and Drug Administration, Pharmaceutical School of Suzhou University and experts of Recruitment Program of Global Experts were present at the conference. The conference was chaired by General Manager's Assistant Lu Xianfeng. Xu Jingren, Chairman of YRPG, addressed the conference.
Yang Zhiqiang, Vice Director of Suzhou Food and Drug Administration, said that the Administration had been following the development of pharmaceutical industry. Suzhou, he said, had a favourable climate for drug research and innovation, as it boasted a constellation of high-end researchers and medical research institutes. Suzhou also yielded bountiful results, with a marked phenomenon of pharmaceutical industry clustering. He hoped that YRPG could deepen the cooperation and exchange between renowned pharmaceutical companies in China and medical institutes in Suzhou, strengthen innovation and research and seek win-win results in Suzhou. Dr. Lv Qiang, the Chief Scientist of YRPG, briefed on the strength and products of YRPG and its subsidiaries. At present, he said, YRPG had established good partnership with institutes on the research and innovation of drugs. He said that innovation was the soul of a nation and the source of a pharmaceutical company; holding innovative products, companies could have bright future. YRPG would stick to innovation and industry-university-institute cooperation, make full use of the medical resources in Suzhou, and generate good and new products in Suzhou as soon as possible.
Xu Jingren also spoke at the conference. He said that in the future five years YRPG would follow short-term, mid-term and long-term plans, combine independent research and introduction of results, combine university-institute-industry cooperation and building innovative platforms, and seek a pharmaceutical research and innovation system that is tailored to the individual growth and culture of the company. He also expressed his conviction that YRPG's enterprising and diligent spirit could make its mark in Suzhou market.
After the conference, the guests held panel discussion on future development and cooperation.
