According to the spirit of Model Action Plan for Companies in Taizhou (2011-2015), 20 Industrial Upgrade Model Companies, including Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, were selected through appraisal by experts based on the pilot programs on upgrade companies.
The qualification for the application of upgrade model companies included: complete structure of corporate legal person management; clear strategies and measures for growth; leading comprehensive business profit in its respective industry in China; the main business being one of the advantageous and emerging industries cultivated by the municipal government; the annual revenue being no less than 100,000 yuan; creating profit for three consecutive years; the growth rate of sales income and tax and profit being higher than the average; certification by the provincial credit management implementation standards. The requirements for the upgrade model companies encompasses 12 indexes, and only companies with at least 6 of them that have met the requirements could attend the experts appraisal. The total number of recommended companies for each city was no more than 4, and the awarded companies would benefit from the various policies.
