Zhang Dejiang(middle) visited Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group


In the afternoon of July 13, Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of National People's Congress Standing Committee and a member of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, visited Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group on his research on CPC's mass route education and practice. He was accompanied by Luo Zhijun, the Party Secretary-General of Jiangsu and Li Xueyong, Governor of Jiangsu.

Four display boards were installed in the hall of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group Medical Research Institute, showing the achievement of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group's progress in recent years. From 2003 to 2012, Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group's revenue and tax and profit have grown by 5.5 times and 3.7 times respectively, taking the leading positions in the Top 100 Chinese Pharmaceutical Companies. Before the display board of Party organization, Xu Jingren, Chairman of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group and Party Secretary-General, said that currently there were 800 Party members in Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group. Every year before the Spring Festival, the Party commission would mobilize Party members to go to the countryside to give care to residents living in poverty, and they have done so in the past 20 years. After hearing the introduction about Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, Zhang Dejiang told Xu Jingren that Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group should not only stress the materialization of results of the research and development, but also concentrate efforts in researching new medicines. At the same time, they should also stress the in-depth research and development of traditional Chinese medicine.

Then, Zhang Dejiang talked with R&D personnel of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group and learnt about the R&D of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group. He learnt that many of the R&D personnel were master or doctoral degree holders, experts in high-tech fields were relatively younger and graduates from renowned institutes. He was glad and said: "young people should have ambitions; they should strike a balance between their own and family's future and the nation's future. By coming to Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group you can apply your specialized fields to use. It is very good that what you learn can be used, your genius can be part of the progress and your dreams are realized." He encouraged the R&D personnel to use their collective strength, contribute to Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group and the nation and at the same time realize your dreams.

Then, Zhang Dejiang asked for public opinions on the Eight Provisions and Changing the Style of Work and Getting Close to the Mass. And workers talked about their opinions on these issues. Dr. Yang Han said: "I think the Eight Provisions by the central government is very effective. It signals very clearly to the general public, as it concerns a wide range of issues such as improving the style and being strict on official travel. This shows the Party's strong determination to change the style of work." Wang Deguo said that after the change of work style and more tolerance to speeches, People were more willing to speak their mind. Zhang Dejiang listened to their ideas and suggestions and nodded saying the goal of developing the economy is to let people enjoy better life. He said the Party would fully unlock people's initiatives, creativity and incentives and so that people can work hard for Chinese Dream and benefit from it.

In the No.2 Workshop of Freeze Dry Powder of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, everyone was busy. Bottles of freeze dry powder were rapidly and accurately filled into the boxed by machine arms. Zhang Dejiang regarded the modern streamline with interest and inquired about the procedures of the drug production and operation of machines. He was glad to hear that the workshop was designed following EU GMP standards, and most of the equipment was import; in particular, the fully-automatic raw material circulation system could reach fully-automatic bacteria-free transfer of products, being the highest bacteria-free standards in the world. He also talked with workers and inquired about their family and work. He encouraged the workers to cherish the time in Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group and contribute more to the progress of the Company and China.

Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group employees vowed that they would study and implement the spirit of the 18th Party Congress, enforce the Eight Provisions, strengthen the conduct and style, maintain the nature of progress and purity of the Party, be in touch with the general public, and understand the significance of strengthening conduct and style of work. They said they would work on their own to invigorate national pharmaceutical industry and make Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group a world-class pharmaceutical company from now on.
