Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group signs agreement with eight chain drug stores

In Taizhou in March, Top 100 Chain Drugstores talked about development of their business. On April 20, the 2013 High-End Forum for China Top 100 Chain Drugstores was hosted by China Drugstore and co-hosted by Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group in Haiyan Hotel on April 20, Zhu Hengpeng, professor at Chinese Academy of Social Science, Zhao Zhenji, Director at Research Department of Chinese Academy, Wang Hongzhi, Advisor at Beijing Medical Reform Office, Xu Jingren, Chairman of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group and 200 principals from the top 100 chain drugstores attended the meeting.

Xu Jingren, in his passionate address, expressed his thanks to the chain stores that have walked with Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group through the rain. He pointed out that with the driving force by new Chinese medical reform, the industry has entered big era of health, and that we should make use of the opportunities to drug retailors by urbanization, strengthen business-industrial cooperation, which was the common choice for the growth of pharmaceutical companies and drug stores. In the coming years, he said, Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group would step up the efforts in entering retail market and build competitive edges in prescription drug, OTC and big health products.

The new Good Supply Practice ("new GSP") is to be enforced from June 1, 2013. The new GSP is the first major adjustment in China's drug circulation regulation policies and an improvement on the conditions and codes for the drug operation activities.

Advisor Wang Hongzhi interpreted the several provisions of the new GSP which shredded the light on how Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group should respond to the new GSP. As China's policy of division of hospital and medicine, where would be the road ahead for chain drug stores? Professor Zhu Hengpeng thought that a retailing drug store should have adequate professional pharmacists, medical insurance coverage qualification, industrial self-disciplines and a platform to share information. Drug stores should improve quality control over medicine and standards of pharmacist service. They should promote the service of retailors in a multi-target and prudent way to meet diverse demands. Zhao Zhenji, through analyzing the indicators and data, shared his analysis of the reality and his forecast of the drug retailing market. He said the retailing market should seize the opportunities from the reform in public hospital, proactively respond to the shock of new National Essential Drug List and obtain the qualification of medical insurance coverage units. This advice on practice provides the food for thought for Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group to further expand retail market.

At the conference, Weng Xintai, the general engineer of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, briefed about Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group and shared the Company's practice on the quality management from the promotion of new GMP, quality month and QC Team activities. Guests said that during their cooperation with Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, they had experienced the sound quality of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group products and their creditworthy conduct. They expressed their appreciation that Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group was a banner in China's pharmaceutical industry and looked forward to the partnership with Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group.

In the following salon, the guests talked about the status quo of retailing industry and its development. The guests thought that compared to the existing standards, the new GSP imposed more strict requirements on quality management of corporates, which was helpful to strengthen the quality risk control for the medicines in circulation and make the retailing industry more regulated and healthy. Against the prevailing backdrop of medical reform, the retailing market also needed reform and innovation to gear up for the new circumstances. Currently, the retailing market faced difficulties for further development, and retailers needed to positively improve the operational strategies, and applying information technology and other new methods to guarantee the sound and steady development of the retailing industry.

Over the past years, Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group has not only been stressing the sales of medicines in hospitals, but also attaching greater and greater importance in retailing market, especially cooperation with Top 100 Chain Drug Stores. Spring is the best time for making plans, and honesty is the essence for cooperation. On the conference, Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group signed partnership agreement with eight chain drug stores, and they were looking forward to ushering in new strategic partnership and achieving new win-win results.
