June witnessed a harvest season for YRPG. The group held the 2012 Interim Work Meeting & Employee Representatives Meetingon June 30. YRPG made summary and said goodbye to the unusual first half year. The meeting was attended by Xu Guoping, Deputy Party Secretary of Taizhou, Wang Jian, Vice Director of Taizhou Standing Committeeof Gaogang District, Xu Jingren, the Chairman of YRPG.
The meeting began with Song of the Yangtze River. Chairman Xu Jingren first made a work report titled Promoting Transformation with Reform and Innovation, Being Enthusiastic and Hard-working, Making Efforts and Presenting a Gift to the 18^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with Leading Development on behalf of the CPC Committee and the Head Office of the Group. The report summarized and reviewed work of the first half year in detail andarranged work forthe second half year. Since the beginning of this year, international economic environment has become harsh and complicated and new difficulties and conflicts have occurred in domestic economy. In this situation, the people of YRPG shouldered heavy tasks, followed the theme of development, continued carrying forward the determined spirit of forging ahead of with determination and never being satisfied and accomplished new victories in operation. In the first half year, accumulative sales amount and profit and tax respectively increased by 13.3% and 17.1% year on year. Both indicators exceeded half of the targets of the whole year. YRPG successively attained such honorable titles as One of Top 10 Enterprises of Taizhou, Technical Innovation Award for Enterprises of Jiangsu Province, Excellent Enterprise in International Trademark Registration of Jiangsu Province and Leading Grassroots-level Party Organization of Jiangsu Province in Striving to Be the First and Excellent. It successively entered the list of Top 100 Sate Tax Payers of Jiangsu Province (ranking the 27^th) and ranked the first among Top 100 Enterprises of Pharmaceutical Industry of China. The third national prize for scientific and technological progress was granted for its ginkgo leaf-related projects. The preparations products made by it have been sold on mainstream market of Europe and America for the first time.
Chairman Xu Jingren reviewed work achievements of the first half year from seven aspects, namely, sales, research & development, production quality, human resources, internal control, development of subsidiaries and party organization. He also analyzed the existing problems and shortcomings. He emphatically pointed out that personnel at all levels of YRPG must keep a sobermind, strengthen awareness of uncertainty, continue to vigorously carry forward the fighting spirit, bravely shoulder responsibilities and face up todifficulties and wholeheartedly devote themselves to energetic development and construction of YRPG with more practical improvement measures and greater enthusiasm.
The Chairman Xu Jingren made a prospective analysis on the situation of pharmaceutical market in the second half year. He pointed out that there would be both opportunities and challenges in the second half year. According to its overall work requirements and targets, YRPG would learn and implement of guidelines of the 12^th Congress of CPC Representatives of Jiangsu and the 18^th National Congress of Communist Party of China, fulfilling the mission of benefitting people through innovation andquality products and drive development transformation of enterprises with reform and innovation. YRPG would closely follow the philosophyof "innovation, breakthrough and improvement", strengthen the enterprise with talents, make strides in science and technology and accelerate development of innovative products. It would = innovate marketing ideas, deepen academic promotion and channelbuilding. It would enhancestandard internationalization and build an energy-saving and environment-friendly enterprise. It would also focus on carrying out internal reform, improve management system and mechanism, focus on rapid development of subsidiaries and promote its internationalization progress. It would strive to fulfill the target of a whole year in advance and make remarkable achievements as gift for the 18^th National Congress of Communist Party of China. He then made specific arrangement for priorities and put forward specific requirements.
On behalf of Taizhou CPC Committee and Taizhou Government, Xu Guoping extended congratulation to YRPG for its outstanding achievements in the first half year and raised hopes for better and quicker development of the enterprise in the second half year. He encouraged YRPG to materialize"Four Furthers". First, YRPG should further accelerate transformation and upgrading, actively extend and expand to the upstream of the industry chain and build a complete industry system covering biology, pharmaceutical and health. Secondly, YRPG should further accelerate innovation in marketing mode, continue to strengthen capacity building of academic and specialized promotion of products and significantly increase its penetration rate and occupation rate on OTC drug market, rural market, community market and other weak areas of YRPG. Thirdly, YRPG should further create quality and brand advantages and strengthen quality control. Fourthly, YRPG should further accelerate internationalization, strive for greater international market share, participate in international competition and gradually develop into a large internationalized group.
At the meeting, YRPG praised the 41 leading collectives, 30 excellent managers, 29 sales pacesetters and sales model workers, 31 inside model workers and technical pacesetters and 334 leading individuals in the first half year.
