On January 9, 2010 Forum on Pharmaceutical Enterprises with the Sense of Social Responsibility, co-sponsored byChinese Pharmaceutical Enterprises Association, China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment and www.people.com.cn, was held in Beijing. 10 enterprises including YRPG won the Outstanding Award of Pharmaceutical Enterprises with the Sense of Social Responsibility and another 9 pharmaceutical enterprises won the Contribution Award.
In the 39-year history, YRPG has always adhered to the philosophy of "seeking progress all the time and safeguarding all human beings" and pursued "innovation and high quality to the benefit of people". YRPG kept self-disciplined and abided by laws. It duly protected the legal rights and interests of staff and consumers. It gave full play to the advantagesof human resources, technological innovation and quality. It vigorously advocated good enterprise culture, cultivated the core competitiveness and proactively participated in domestic and foreign market competition. Meanwhile, YRPG bore in mind the responsibility to return the society. It duly performed its social responsibility to pay taxes, solve unemployment, protect the environment, and pay attention to people's livelihood. In 2010, YRPG reached new peaks in many economic indexes and achieved win-win of economic profits and social profits.
The participant enterprises were recommended by China Pharmaceutical Profession Association. The selection went through four rounds including publication of application materials, votes by cyber citizens, rating by judges and publication of awarded enterprises. The selection was conducted authoritatively and seriously. Yu Mingde, Director of the organizing committee and president of Chinese Pharmaceutical Enterprises Association, believed that under the current circumstance, Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises should bear the sense of social responsibility and absorb it into the enterprise operations. Promoting the sense of social responsibility was proved an important part of constructing core competitiveness. Society would return the enterprises that have performed their social responsibility, which was a lesson for entrepreneurs to learn from.
In the awarding ceremony, Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Chinese Pharmaceutical Enterprises Association,China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, RDPAC, www.people.com.cn and principals of the participant enterprises unanimously passed Beijing Declaration-Advocacy for Chinese Pharmaceutical Enterprises to Perform Social Responsibility.
