This was a cold winter. Before the spring festival, party cadres of YRPG came to streets and towns in Gaogang District to help poor families to have a happy festival.
In January 20 came the first snow in Gaogang District. The cold weather could not stop YRPG workers. A team led by Xu Haoyu, Vice Chairman, and Qi Zhengxin, Vice President of YRPG Charity Society, came to the home of Sun Yinxiang located at Tongyuan Lane, Kou'an Village, Kou'an Street. They brought the consolation money and some life necessities which expressed YRPG employees' love.
"Many thanks to YRPG!"Su Yinxiang and his wife were moved by YRPG's timely help and expressed thanks again and again. Sun Yinxiang, over 50 years old, was stricken by cerebral cancer in 1994. The huge surgery costs imposed big economic burden on the family.
"Difficulty is temporary. With the care of YRPG Charity Society and the assistance of the whole society, your life will be improved." Xu Haoyu comforted the couple after hearing the family's difficulty. Qi Zhengxin said that YRPG Charity Society had solved many practical problems for Sun Yinxiang' family and guaranteed their basic life.
From January 26 to January 29, party cadres of YRPG separately went to Kou'an, Diaopu, Xuzhuang Street, Yong'anzhou, Baima, Dasi and Huzhuang Town of Gaogang District. They granted over 130,000 Yuan to267 destitute families.
The team spread warmth all the way. To ensure that YRPG couldhelp those needy people, party cadres went to the countryside and visited those poverty-stricken families.
Liu Zhendong, Party Working Committee of Kou'an Street sang high praise of the move in the donation ceremony. He said that YRPG had not forgotten to repay the society. YRPG invests over one million Yuan every year for building bridges and roads, relieving poverty and initiating public work, which help them to create a well-to-do life. YRPG has provided unique political advantage, economic advantage and development advantage for Gaogang people, and they felt proud of YRPG.
Since 2006, party cadres of YRPG have consistently visited those poverty-stricken families. The aid object was expanded to people in the whole district, making all poverty-stricken families enjoy the assistance of the communist party and YRPG. According to statistics, the accumulated donations from party cadres were around 800,000 yuan, and around 2,000 low-income families have been benefited from the donations.
"There are so many needy families in the world. Compared with them, we should be more grateful, cherish our present life and work harder." Through this social practice, all party cadres enhance the awareness of contributing to the society.
