YRPG Won the First Projects of Beijing Ten Medicines against Ten Illnesses Program

On December 28, the signing ceremony for the transfer of the first four projects of TCM Key Technologies R & D Program on Ten Dangerous Illnesses in Beijing (hereinafter referred to as Ten Medicines against Ten Illnesses) was held in Beijing. Over 100 persons attended the ceremony, including Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing Drug Administration Bureau and other bureaus, TCM expert representatives, leaders from second-level Chinese medicine hospitals and above, third-level general hospitals, TCM manufacturers in Beijing, scientific research institutes in Beijing, and medical schools.
To give play to the role of TCM in preventing and treating illnesses, this October Beijing Government and 12 Bureaus join hands to launch TCM Key Technologies R & D Program on Ten Dangerous Illnesses in Beijing", that is "Ten Medicines for Ten Illnesses program. After preliminary selections and selections through general argumentation, 12 R&D achievements were selected into the first supported projects of Ten Medicines for Ten Illnesses program.
The contracted 4 achievements were outstanding among the first projects. They are Shuangjie particles for cold developed by Dongfang Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, tablets for chest tightness, shortness of breath and angina by TCM master Yan Zhenghua, new TCM for diabetic retinopathy, Eye Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and AIDS-resistant tablets by Beijing Increase Drug Technology Co., Ltd. YRPG respectively signed an transfer framework agreement on tablets for chest tightness, shortness of breath and angina by TCM master Yan Zhenghua and on Shuangjie particles for cold by Dongfang Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
To give full play to the existing scientific achievements and TCM experience prescriptions, Ten Medicines for Ten Illnesses program made use of the rich TCM scientific and technological resources and human resources in Beijing. Varieties with big development value were selected, supported by government funds and policies, and had the priority to enter Beijing basic health insurance directory. It signified that the inside preparations and master prescriptions that were available in one hospital in the past would be available in all hospitals and pharmacies.
In the signing ceremony, TCM master Yan Zhenghua and Ren Wei, General Manager of Beijing Haiyan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of YRPG made addresses. They reached an agreement on the cooperation and were brimming with confidence on the future successful cooperation.
The selection and assessment of the second projects of "Ten Medicines for Ten Illnesses" program would be launched at the beginning of January 2011.
