Recently, the 7^th China International Patent & Brand Expo was concluded in Wuxi, Jiangsu. YRPG won the gold award for its patent TCM preparation and method for treating Pre-Menstrual Syndromes, and also won China Patent Top 10 Enterprises and Best Exhibition Award. They were important achievements by implementing intellectual property right strategy and showed YRPG's improvement in IPR work and scientific research.
YRPG has established Jiangsu New Medicine Research Institute. YRPG has several R&D platforms such as National-level Technological Center, National Key Lab on Medical Preparation New Technology, and National Engineering Research Center on TCM Preparation Technology. YRPG has established a lab together with foreign senior researchers, committed to R&D of innovative medicines. Now about 10 innovative medicines targeted at serious illnesses were under research. YRPG has applied for 120 innovation patents (including 4 patents for PCT application), including 40 authorized patents. The patent Jingqianping particles which had won the gold award, was used to treat premenstrual syndromes and menopausal syndromes. It has won the first prize in Scientific and Technological Award by China Association of Chinese Medicine, the second prize in National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the titles of Jiangsu Independent Innovation Product and China Outstanding Innovation Patent.
The Expo was jointly held by State Intellectual Property Office and Jiangsu Government for the purpose of helping transform the innovation achievements to productivity and competitiveness and giving full play to high technologies with independent intellectual property right and famous products. The Expo provided over 300 booths, divided into the area for famous enterprises, the area for enterprises with famous brands and the area for HK, Macaw and Taiwan and hi-tech achievement exchange. The projects on exhibit included outstanding patents recommended by local regions, China products with famous trademarks, China patents winning gold award, model patent projects, patents selected by institutions of higher education and enterprises, outstanding patents and products of HK, Macaw and Taiwan, high technologies and products of foreign-funded enterprises, and outstanding patents and products recommended by the inventors themselves. There were over 1,500 projects on the Expo and over 50 projects won gold awards.
On the last session of China International Patent & Brand Expo, YRPG was awarded the title of China Trademark Top 10 Enterprises. The patent Bailemian capsules won Special Gold Award.
