From September 8 to September 10, 2010 International (Bozhou) TCM Expo and the 26th National (Bozhou) TCM Trade Fair were held in medical town Bozhou. Xu Haoyu, Vice President of YRPG and Zhang Baohua, General Manager of Jiangsu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of YRPG, were invited to attend the meeting. They were warmly received by Fang Chunming, Bozhou City Party Secretary and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Bozhou.
Fang Chunming extended sincere welcome to Xu Haoyu and Zhang Baohua.Fang said he was impressed by YRPG's scale and management in his last visit to YRPG, and expected that YRPG could invest in Bozhou and seek more cooperation opportunities with Bozhou. Xu Haoyu said that as Bozhou was rich in TCM resources with great developing potentials, YRPG would keep more contacts with Bozhou's pharmaceutical companies, seek more and better cooperation opportunities and develop TCM industry together. During the conversation, both parties exchanged opinions in many aspects like TCM cultivation, decoction pieces processing and TCM extraction.
Known as "China Medical Town", Bozhou has been the center of TCM's cultivation and distribution since ancient times. Since the construction of the first "herbal nursery" by Hua Tuo (a famous medical scientist in ancient China), Bozhou has a history of over 1,800 years planting and managing herbal medicinal materials. Bozhou is the largest TCM medicine trade center with the most varieties, the best facilities and full functions in China. The production of TCM decoction pieces of Bozhou occupies the quarter of China. Bozhou has an area of nearly 1 million mu to cultivate TCM plants. Bozhou's annual income from TCM industry is over 10 billion Yuan and one million people of the city are involved in pharmacy business. September 9 is the day of worshiping Hua Tuo and the opening day of National (Bozhou) TCM Trade Fair.
During the Expo, Xu Haoyu also visited medicinal materials trading market and investigated TCM decoction pieces factories and planting bases.
