Accompanied by Cao Yumei, Vice Mayor of Taizhou, and President Xu Jingren, Wang Guoqiang, Vice Minister of Health and Director of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, visited YRPG on July 29.
Wang Guoqiang and his delegation visited the primary factory area of YRPG to understand in detail the enterprise’s development in recent years. In the newly-invested oral solution workshop, Wang watched advanced production establishments and various working procedures of the oral solution from the formula to filling. When he learnt that Lanqin Oral Liquid was listed as the preferred drug for preventing and curing HFMD (hand, foot and mouth disease) for its unique curative effect, he was glad and said that YRPG had made great contribution to preventing and curing HFMD. He expected that the group could pursue a development road by high quality, safe and effective drug in a pragmatic manner.
Wang was impressed by YRPG’s garden-type and modernized factories, plentiful innovation achievements and strong philosophy of independent innovation. He praised the group upon learning that YRPG had reached output value of 11.7 billion Yuan in the first half year with the sales and profit tax both increased by over 30% respectively over the same period of last year and the operation performance setting new record. He learnt from Xu Jingren that YRPG planned to invest RMB1.5billion to 2 billion Yuan during the "12th Five-Year Plan" to establish the YRPG International TCM High-Tech R&D Production Base through the university-industry-research cooperation so as to promote the national pharmaceutical culture with great efforts and make more contributions to revitalizing the TCM undertaking.
Wang Guoqiang pointed out YRPG, as the leading enterprise in the national pharmaceutical industry, shall keep an eye on the development trend of TMC both at home and broad and make best use of the supporting guidelines and policies by the state on the TCM development undertaking. He expected that YRPG could unceasingly develop more products with independent intellectual property rights, make efforts to advance the enterprise’s force and competiveness and transform itself into a worldwide top-ranking pharmaceutical enterprise as soon as possible.
