Xu Guoping, Deputy Party Secretary and Acting Major, visited YRPG and listened to the report of the enterprise’s development. In the colloquium, Xu Jingren reported the enterprise’s development outline in detail to Xu Guoping with the catch words of "innovation" and "quality". The group has increased its sales and the profit tax by 28% and 39% respectively from January to July than the same period of the preceding year, which has maintained the affirmative development tendency ever since the last year. He further stated that the group, in the "12th Five Year" period, would facilitate and transform its development method by greatly implementing the R&D innovation strategy of "developing three pharmaceuticals (traditional Chinese medicine, chemicals and biotech pharmaceuticals) simultaneously" It would make the best use of the bridgehead R&D bases at Nanjing, Shanghai and Beijing, extend the R&D bases abroad so as to develop a batch of new drugs featuring high-tech content, high market capacity, high quality and unique curative effect, and enable the enterprise to maintain the stable and rapid development through comprehensive improvement of independent innovation.
Xu Guoping was content with YRPG’s outstanding achievements. He applauded that YRPG could not succeed without the scientific and practical management mechanism, the fighting spirit, the enormous and efficient marketing network as well as its persistence in the quality and R&D advantages as formed by scientific and technological innovations for successive years. He also greatly praised its development strategy for the next step and stated that the successful experience and practice of the enterprise shall be drawn on. He hoped that the enterprise could establish a thorough overall planning for the long-term and sustainable development with the talents as the principal resource and spare no effort to expedite its development abroad, explore the cooperation with foreign pharmaceutical enterprises, especially with European and American enterprises, and attract internationally advanced scientific research technologies and talents so as to accumulate stamina for the enterprise’s development and develop it to be a "time-honored enterprise". He also stated that the municipal and district government would support large leading enterprises such as YRPG to drive the enterprise development in the surrounding area and promote the economic development in the whole region.
