YRPG Farmer’s Friend Glee Club, as the only performance group from enterprises, attended the opening ceremony soiree of the 1st China Farmers Art Festival held at Kunshan on June 3. With great attentions, the glee club of 200 persons performed the multimedia chorus A Field Carol. The lyric filled with agrestic feelings and matched with beautiful melody expressed the admiration to great life and paid a tribute to the new life and new era. The orderly lineup and lofty artistic level of the glee club were highly acclaimed by all audiences, as a highlight of the soiree.
The opening ceremony soiree with the theme of "Beautiful Field-the 1st China Farmers Art Festival" as jointly sponsored by Central Culture Office, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Agriculture and CCTV attracted the participation of hundreds of farmer actors and numerous artists from all over the country. The original singer A Bao, the artist Jiang Kun together with Zhang Ye displayed wonderful programs, which have brought an abundant culture banquet for farmers around the country.
How could a glee club from a pharmaceutical enterprise of North Jiangsu Province perform with so many stars and brighten up the stage under the brilliant glory of performances of domestic top stars, famous performance groups and farmers’ performance groups?
"It greatly benefits from the accumulated outstanding enterprise culture of YRPG. We are the son of farmers and hold special feelings of farmers and villages. We are responsible for concerning the farmers and sing the praises of farmers; therefore, we organized a group to attend the activity to express our cares about the new countryside construction and our loves of farmer brothers with our song." As the leader of national pharmaceutical industry, YRPG, for many years, has persisted in the scientific outlook on development with the construction of a harmonious enterprise as its target and concerned the enterprise’s culture construction with the party construction as an important channel and strived to create a harmonious and active enterprise culture, so as to promote the culture force with the thoughts, upgrade the soft strength of the enterprise’s competitiveness with its culture force and drive the enterprise’s development in a sound and rapid manner. In terms of the enterprise’s culture construction, YRPG has established the enterprise concept of "seeking progress and protecting public health" and the enterprise spirit of "being persistent, enterprising, cooperative and never contented".
The group has persisted in deepening the development of varied culture activities, which has enabled the harmonious YRPG construction to continuously to reach the new leaps. The group’s CPC Committee and Workers Union would hold the chorus competition of revolutionary songs with the theme of "singing revolutionary songs to appreciate the party and motherland" so as to celebrate the party’s birthday on July 1 of each year. Tens of attending groups with over a thousand members involved and exciting songs inspired the passion of loving the party, the motherland and the enterprise; and the enterprise’s culture was thus sublimated at the meanwhile. Besides, the group also made use of various festivals to develop colorful amateur cultural activities such as the employees’ folk art competition, the speech competition and the employees’ sports games, which have further deepened the enterprise’s culture connotations and promote the enterprise’s cohesive force and centripetal force.
The enthusiasm in charity undertaking, the concern about needy farmers and sharing the concerns of the party and the state is a characteristic of YRPG culture. In 2003, YRPG established its own charity society with specific funds appropriated. Leaders from the group’s CPC Committee and the charity society would visit needy families to deliver the consolation money before every Spring Festival to pass the party’s warmth and the enterprise’s love. YRPG Charity Society has donated over RMB10million in the past seven years to help the needy family, assist the needy students, and construct roads and bridges, etc. The number of needy farmers benefiting directly is more than 10000. Besides, YRPG successively donated drugs and RMB 23 million and its employees donated blood over 50,000ml voluntarily at the first time upon the occurrence of Wenchuan earthquake and Yushu earthquake. Incomplete statistics showed that YRPG has donated accumulative fund and materials beyond RMB 300 million for disaster relief, poverty alleviation, army support and people cure, etc. It has scrupulously abided by the social responsibility as an outstanding pharmaceutical enterprise. |
