Cheers and laughter came out from Lingxian Hall of Petrel Hotel from the very beginning of the New Year on February 21 when the 7th Folk Performing Art Competition of YRPG was grandly held to initiate the struggle for the coming New Year in a comfortable and delighted environment. Xu Jingren, President and Secretary of the group’s party committee joined together with hundreds of cadres to appreciate the competition together.
Twenty-three representative teams from the group and its subsidiary companies attended the competitions with most of their programs created and performed by themselves. In addition to the opusculum, songs and dances applauded by the audiences, there were also operas, allegrettos, ancient Chinese instrument performance and two-stringed Chinese fiddle, etc., some of which represented the employees’ absorption in their work with some representing the social universal problems. They were close to the actual life with deep connotations and the performers’ sincere performance moved all the audiences. The diversified performance types and almost professional performance have brought abundant cultural banquet to all employees. 
The opusculum Night Diagnosis described two strangers who rescued each other by closely hugged in a traffic accident in the deep night, which caused their respectively spouses to feel doubtful. The affection and trust and doubt were interwoven together enabling those who were waiting afflicted and beating the audiences’ hearts. The opusculum Special Traffic Policeman was weepy, which represented several serious traffic accidents last year. The opusculum Dating described an affecting story between a couple of lovers who understood and help mutually in the course of new project research and development. The opusculum Heaven-Sent Fortune reflected YRPG’s service concept of “the sufferer-orientation” through an event of a salesman delivering drugs for the sufferer. The opusculum Employment described YRPG’s help to affected people in Wenchuan earthquake, which reflected the concept of “caring about all flesh”. In addition, the song with ancient Chinese instrument Haici Gossamer Song and the cross-gender music opisculum Big Words of Western Tour suited both refined and popular tastes, which all completely reflected YRGP’s high-spirited ambition and cooperative group spirit with good faith.
The competition was curtained in laughers with No. 1 Company’s opusculum Night Diagnosis awarded the champion and the best performance prize, the opusculum Heaven-Sent Fortune presented by the joint team of the authority department and the personnel department awarded the best creation price. The competition has not only given play to the employee’s performance specialty but also greatly enriched the cadres and employees’ festival and cultural life; and also represented the enterprise’s cultural features from another aspect.
This year witnessed the 7th Folk Performing Art Competition to welcome the New Year as held by the group in succession. The audiences’ impassioned applauses between whiles and the judges’ favorable comments all indicated new improvement of the competition level as compared with that before. President Xu Jingren presented the awards and made ebullient comments after the competition in hopes that continuous efforts could be devoted to make innovations of the performance forms and upgrade the performance level so as to better develop YRPG’s culture and serve the enterprise’s development.
