On November 30, the third National Employment and Social Security Advanced Private Enterprise Recognition Meeting was held ceremoniously at the People's Great Hall of Beijing. Zhang Dejiang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council attended the meeting and delivered a speech, and Huang Mengfu, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Chairman of the China Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the meeting. 196 private enterprises, including YRPG that had made outstanding contributions in aspects such as facilitating employment, participating in social security and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, have been jointly awarded the honorary title of "National Advanced Private Enterprise of Employment and Social Security " by All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
As a “new vital force” for facilitating employment, the private enterprises increasingly attract the affirmation and the attention from the government and all sectors. Facing the currently tense employment situation, what kind of role will the private enterprises play, how much employment space can they leverage, how much corporate social responsibility can they assume are questions that are becoming increasingly exciting. Zhang Dejiang pointed out at the meeting, that it is necessary to facilitate the development of the private enterprises, stabilize and expand the employment, and improve the social security system. Zhang Dejiang required the private enterprises to create conditions to attract more labors such as college graduates, migrant workers and people that are difficult to get employed, and required the private enterprises to timely and fully pay for the workers all kinds of social insurances, to care about the workers’ lives, and help them solve their practical difficulties.

For example: the enterprise is the exclusive funder for the election of the Chinese Journal of Medical Science and Technology Award, the highest award for selection of the Chinese pharmaceutical and health industry; the company for three consecutive years has hold the “Western Health Care Action”, investing a total of more than RMB 40 million; and the group specially established Yangtze River Charity Fund to widely help the weak of the society, the benefited number of people reaching 10,000. After the occurrence of the May 12 Earthquake in Wenchuan, YRPG donated medicine and capital to the disaster affected area as soon as possible for more than RMB 23 million, being ranked as one in the first batch of enterprises that participated in the earthquake prevention and disaster rescue. According to incomplete statistics, the group has donated money and goods to the society in total over RMB 300 million by now.
YRPG actively shares the concerns of the Party and the government, having been active in absorbing new employees. After the burst of the global financial crisis, under the situation that many enterprises were insolvent, stopped and reduced manufacture and laying off workers and decreasing salaries, YRPG did not choose to lay off workers and reduce salaries to relieve the pressure, but increased 20% the remunerations of all the employees. In the year 2009, YRPG hired 293 graduates from colleges and 563 people from the society in total, having become the benchmark enterprise of Jiangsu to attract employment. In 2010 the group planned to hire more than 500 graduates and attract more excellent talents to guarantee the strategy of stable development of the enterprise.
Over the years, YRPG has adhered to the regulations of the national policies, paying various social insurances and housing fund for every employee in time; organized the Labors Union and established systems including salary collective negotiation and coordinated labor relationship; the labor contract signing rate reached 100%. In addition, the group implements paid annual holidays, family leave system and has established mutual aid fund to provide help to the employees in difficulties. In recent years, the enterprise has not encountered any incident in terms of significant labor disputes and group event caused by labor dispute.
