Chairman Xu Jingren Visited Australia and New Zealand

From December 11 to 20th of 2009, Chairman Xu Jingren visited Australia and New Zealand along with the Jiangsu Delegation led by Liang Baohua, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangsu Province. They participated in a series of economic and trade activities such as the biomedicine forum, meet-and-greet with related experts and visits. The results were fruitful.
During the visit in Australia, Chairman Xu attended the 30th Anniversary of Friendly Relationship between Jiangsu Province and the State of Victoria. Subsequently, he attended the meeting named “Jiangsu Province• State of Victoria Economic & Trade Cooperation Forum - Communication & Cooperation on Biomedicine Technology” held by the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development of the State of Victoria of Melbourne. Chairman Xu Jingren made an introduction to the production, R&D and sales of YRPG at the meeting and cordially invited the enterprises from Australia to make investigation and explore the possibility of cooperation with YRPG. Bennytek and Beota, two large-scale biomedicine enterprises in the State of Victoria, made speeches and communicated with each other at the meeting. Both parties made thorough communication and discussion about the current situation and technology development trend in the biomedicine field. During the final one-to-one negotiation after the meeting, Chairman Xu and Professor Ou Ruchong, from the Alfred Hospital of the State of Victoria, communicated with each other intimately.
On December 15, Chairman Xu visited and made investigation in SPHERE. The company is the second largest enterprise majoring in the production of health care products in Australia primarily including soft capsule of deep sea fish oil and chewable tablet. The enterprise must pass the certification of TGA and GMP of Australia although it is an enterprise specialized in health care products. After the visit, Chairman Xu highly appreciated the advanced management system and serious work attitude and hoped to have opportunities to have further study and communication with the enterprise.
On December 16th, Chairman Xu Jingren visited several famous companies and institutes such as the Peter • McLaren Cancer Research Center, Diamantina Institute and Yuriweist Co., Ltd. of the University of Queensland under the organization of the Economic & Information Commission of Jiangsu. He also participated in the expert meet-and-greet held by Peter • McLaren Cancer Research Center and Brisbane in order to know the latest information about the biomedicine research in the local area and industrialization. Yuriweist Co., Ltd. takes the R&D achievements of the University of Queensland as the basis and has formed a favorable combination of commercialized intellectual property and assets. It has become the major commercial company of the University of Queensland. Chairman Xu Jingren communicated with Dr. Dean Moss, the General Manager of the company, and showed great interests in the accomplishments in terms of the achievement transformation of the R&D results. He believed that “the domestic universities and institutes should learn more from the overseas counterparts in terms of the mode of achievement transformation of technological results and promote the commercialization and industrialization of the results of scientific research as early as possible.”
On December 17, Chairman Xu following Liang Baohua, the Secretary of Party Committee of Jiangsu, departed from Australia and headed for New Zealand. The “Jiangsu-New Zealand Economic &Trade Cooperation Forum” was held in Auckland of New Zealand on the afternoon of December 18. Secretary Liang, Dr. Wayne Mapp, Minister of both the Ministry of Research and Technology and the Ministry of Defense, and Ms. Liao Juhua, Chinese Consul-general in Auckland, attended the forum and made speeches. Chen Zhenning, Director of the Economic & Information Commission of Jiangsu, presided the meeting. Zhu Min, Director of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu, made an introduction to the overseas investment and trade of Jiangsu. Jiangsu biomedicine delegation as well as the representatives from over 100 enterprises, R&D institutes, universities and government departments from New Zealand participated in the meeting. The Chinese enterprises made communication speech at the meeting and the response was enthusiastic. After the meeting, Secretary Liang, Ms. Liao Juhua and Chairman Xu talked together intimately. Secretary Liang made instructions for the future development of the Company. Chairman Xu Jingren introduced the development of the Company to Ms. Liao Juhua and cordially invited Ms. Liao to make a visit.
During this visit, Chairman Xu Jingren highly appreciated the development concept of the innovation in biomedicine industry in Australia and New Zealand, open R&D mode, flexible mechanism of achievement transfer and advanced research facilities. He also made initial contact and communication with the institutes and enterprises from both Australia and New Zealand in terms of joint R&D and technology import and export in fields like treatment of cancer, treatment of diabetes, treatment of mental diseases, traditional Chinese medicine, health care products and bulk pharmaceutical chemicals. Furthermore, he also exchanged opinions with the domestic entrepreneurs in the delegation in order to jointly promote the development of the pharmaceutical industry in China. After this visit, we not only made propaganda about the enterprise image and products of the company in Australia and New Zealand but also built the platform for foreign cooperation and communication. It is an important event in the history of international communication of the Company.
