Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office publicized the list of the candidates eligible to win the 11^thChina Patent Award. In the whole country there are a total of 15 gold awards and 170 awards of excellence (among which: 160 for invention patents, 8 for utility model patents and 2 for appearance design patents). The invention patent jointly applied by YRPG Pharmaceutical Group Co. Ltd and YRPG Pharmaceutical Group Sichuan Hairong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, named "a type of traditional Chinese medicine reagent for treating premenstrual syndrome liver reverse flow and its preparation method" (Patent No.: 200510038617.3) was awarded with the China Patent Award of Excellence.
This session of patent award is the first selection since the promulgation of the Strategic Outlines of the National Intellectual Property. The participating projects have a high overall level, and the number of applied projects and participating enterprises and institutions has significantly increased over the previous years. The award's standards not only emphasize the patent technical level and the innovation degree of the projects, but also give importance to the using situation during the market transformation process. At the same time it also puts forward requirements to the conservation status and management situation. It is reported that, in order to adapt to the requirements in recent years of the fast development of China's intellectual property rights work, starting from the current session, the China Patent Award cycle will be held every year instead of every two years.
