On the occasion of the foundation of the Gaogang Table Tennis Association, the first table tennis match of the "Table Tennis Association Cup" lasted 2 days of fierce battle, and concluded on November 16. The team of YRPG Pharmaceutical Group beat all other competitors and won the first price in the group of authority, having fully displayed the great appearance of the YRPG people.
The match taken place was the team competition, formed by men and women. A total of 20 representative teams from the whole district and 112 players participated in the contest. In order to obtain good results in the highest-level table tennis competition of the whole district, the Group held internally qualifying trials in advance, and sent five elite players on behalf of the enterprise including Zeng Xuemei and Zhang Li to participate in the competition. During the preliminary rounds, the contestants fought hard over five rounds, and the team was qualified as the second. During the semi-final, they beat the opponents by a large margin 3:0 and entered into the final, then finally defeated their old rival, the team from the Education Bureau and won. The excellent skills of the YRPG team and their tenacious style received the praise from the district leaders and colleagues that came to watch the battle.
The table tennis sport has a wide mass base in YRPG, previously the Group obtained many rankings in provincial and city level table tennis competitions, and this championship will further promote the vigorous development of the table tennis sport in the enterprise.
