On March 19, Jiangsu Party Committee Secretary Liang Baohua, accompanied by Taizhou Party Committee Secretary Zhang Lei and Mayor Yao Jianhua, inspected YRPG. Liang Baohua requests the enterprise to improve the independent innovation ability, promote the sound and steady economic development with independent innovation, and strive to build High-tech Park to be the first-class industrial base, innovation base and talent highland.
In March, YRPG industrial park is brimmed with luxuriantly green and spring is evident everywhere. Liang Baohua went sightseeing in spirits by car, visiting the modern and garden-like factory area and listening to introduction made by President Xu Jingren. The visit was in the cheerful atmosphere.
The construction site of Pharmaceutical High-tech Park is hustle and bustle. Xu Jingren introduced that in order to promote increase of R&D of new medicines, the Group has planned to establish New Medicine Research Institute and supporting production workshops of 6 on the basis of current five development institutes located in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, etc. The Pharmaceutical High-tech Park has the floor space of 301 mu, and the total investment of RMB 880 million. New Medicine Research Institute has the total construction area of over 30000 square meters, and will reach the domestic first-class level on the platform and technical conditions, and research team after completion. New Medicine Research Institute will be able to be independently engaged in R&D of chemical medicine, biological medicine, modern Chinese medicine and medicinal preparation.
"When will New Medicine Research Institute be built? Are there any problems in talent introduction?" Liang Baohua asked with concern. Xu Jingren answered that all civil engineering would be completed before the end of the year and put into operation as soon as possible. The introduction of high-level talents is well underway. Liang Baohua exhorted that Research Institute must be built from high starting point with advanced hardware. More importantly, the key lies in the introduction of talents. He said that he would congratulate at the site when the New Medicine Research Institute is completed.
After visiting the construction site of High-tech Park, Liang Baohua listened to the introduction to enterprise development, especially the idea of promoting independent innovation. With the sales of RMB 15.6 billion last year, YRPG continued to maintain the growth of more than 20% in the first two months of this year. Firstly, the Enterprise attaches great importance to the medicine quality. The "Quality month" activity is held twice every year. Currently, medicines of eighteen varieties have met the foreign pharmacopoeia standard. YRPG has ranked first on the number of gold medals of QC results for four consecutive years. Secondly, the Enterprise pays attention to innovation and R&D, handsomely rewarding the R&D talents. The Enterprise has introduced a number of high-quality R&D personnel from domestic and overseas. At present, the candidate projects under development are more than 200. Thirdly, the Enterprise sticks to strengthening the construction of the enterprise-level party organization, giving full play to the battle fort effect of Party organizations and the vanguard and exemplary role of the party members, so as to ensure stability and promote development.
Liang Baohua said pleasantly that YPRG is developing in a higher starting point with higher standards, and especially confronting the current severe challenges of financial crisis, the YPRG has maintained the development with high speed, and played a lead role in the provincial pharmaceutical enterprise.

Liang Baohua shook hands and talked with Dr. Yang Jun, who has returned to China from Canada and been employed as the Vice President of Jiangsu (Taizhou) New Medicine Development Institute, asking about his detailed work. Liang Baohua said that he visited many enterprises recently, and had come to a conclusion that any enterprise pursuing the invincible position must rely on independent innovation, R&D innovation, and talent introduction. Although Jiangsu is strong in talents, there is still lack of pioneering creative talents.
Liang Baohua stressed that when an enterprise enters a new stage, only relying on innovation and talents, can the enterprise always retain the competitive advantage and realize sustainable development. Enterprises should be willing to invest in talents construction and bring into the high quality talents with genuine ability and learning. The provincial party committee and the provincial government will try their best to actively support the enterprise in introducing the high-level talents.
Liang Baohua said that provincial party committee and provincial government would consider offering preferential policies to High-tech Industrial Park of Taizhou Pharmaceutical City in order to further support the YRPG development. He hoped that YRPG Taizhou Pharmaceutical City would be constructed not only the largest medicine industry base in China, but also the R&D base, innovation base and talents converging highland.
In the face of the kindly care of the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, Xu Jingren confidently said that the YRPG will firmly implement the decision and deployment made by the Party Central Committee, the State Council and the Provincial Government, unswervingly take the road of independent innovation development, do not downsize and cut payments, perform the social responsibility of the enterprise, and aggressively cope with the financial crisis, and never live up to the expectation of leadership of the Provincial Party Committee.
