On April 10, the Municipal Economic and Trade Commission held the Working Conference of directly affiliated industry and trade enterprises. This Conference reviewed the economic, party construction and safety production of the directly affiliated enterprises of 2008, awarded advanced units and individuals with outstanding achievements, and mapped out the comprehensive work of 2009. The director of Municipal Economic and Trade Commission Gao Tianwei delivered the summary report, and the Vice Mayor Lu Peimin attended the Conference. The General Manager Assistant Liu Xiuxia made a communicative speech in the Conference.
In 2008, directly affiliated industry enterprises led by YRPG jointly created 13.97% (i.e. RMB 41.209 billion) of the current price, 14.51% (i.e. RMB 40.567 billion) of the sales income, 15.68% (i.e. RMB 4.507 billion) of the tax, and 9.61% (i.e. RMB 1.461 billion) of the profit among the municipal upscale industry enterprises. Key enterprises continued to lead and support the development of the municipal industrial economy.
Vice Mayor Lu Peimin said that in order to cope with the financial crisis, the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have adopted a series of firm measures to create a loose credit environment, pushed key projects forward to accumulate strength for surpass, and carried out "three services" to solve development problems for enterprise, all which have obtained real results. He required, in view of the current severe economic situation, the directly affiliated industry and trade enterprises should focus on "securing confidence, growth, stability, and sustainable strengths, and promoting the economic transformation and upgrading", catch every development opportunity, and further stimulate enterprise activities, so as to promote enterprise's good and rapid development.
In the Conference, advanced units and individuals of the industry and trade system were awarded for achievements in economy, party construction, and production safety. YRPG was awarded the First Prize among Advanced Units for Economic Target Evaluation of Directly Affiliated Industry of 2008, the "Advanced Primary Party Organs" and "Advanced Units of Production Safety" of directly affiliated industry and trade enterprises. The total of 16 comrades, such as Liu Xiuxia, Wu Jie, and Ye Guoji, were awarded the "Outstanding Party Workers" and "Outstanding Communist Party Members". Liu Zhongquan and Liu Shen of Manufacturing Department were awarded "Advanced Individuals for Safety Production".
