The flowers reflect the happy faces, and the colorful flags witness the happiness of harvest. At the end of the year, at the time to say goodbye to the past and welcome the new, Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group ceremoniously held the yearly working conclusion meeting at Petrel Hotel International Conference Center to review the hard work of the past year and scientifically deploy the development strategies of the coming year. Zhang Lei, Secretary of Taizhou Party Committee, Lu Peimin, Vice Mayor and Wang Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee of Gaogang District were invited to attend the meeting.
It is a grand meeting to draw conclusions on experience and lessons. Cadres and employees gathered together to carefully listen to the conclusion report made by Xu Jingren named Changing Crisis to Opportunities by Innovative Efforts, Implementing Five Engineering Strategies to Fight for New Triumph of Good and Fast Development of YRPG. The contents of the report are abundant but simple, showing the reform and innovation atmosphere, and presenting the hardworking spirit of the YRPG people, very inspiring. The report won a lot of heated applauses from time to time.
This is a general conference to award the advanced. Many labor models, examples and advanced collectivity responsible persons awarded wore colored ribbons and big red flowers on the chest, sitting in the front, and becoming the focus of people’s attention. They successively went to the high stage to receive the certificate of honor and the golden medal from the leaders that attended the meeting. This is also a kick-off party to coherent and encourages will powers. Zhang Lei expressed the congratulations on the achievements obtained by Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, encouraging the YRPG people to “become examples and models, try to be the best”; feasibly accelerate the independent innovation steps, firmly grasp the initiatives of competition and further strengthen the core competiveness of the enterprise; strengthen social responsibilities, maintain a good social image of the enterprise and further brighten the golden brand of “protecting people”, be a practitioner in reform and innovation, a promoter of economic development and a constructor of harmonious society.
In 2008, in front of the gradual coming of the coldness of financial crisis, the pressure from declining domestic economy and heated competition in the pharmaceutical market, the YRPG people were united in strength, confronting calmly the crisis, changed pressure to motives and challenges to opportunities, overcame the difficulties and made the enterprise maintain a developing tendency of seeking for improvement in stability, and thus presented a heavy gift to the 30 years’ anniversary of reform and open with a winning performance in the reverse tendency. The group accumulatively achieved RMB 100 million in product output values, sales and tax contributions, having increased more than 20% compared the same period last year, and created the historical new high. During the whole year, the group obtained 24 approvals on production of medicine, applied 15 invention patents and was nominated as one of the first “innovative” enterprises in China by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The innovation capacity has been improved continuously. It obtained 28 QC achievements “golden prizes”, and ranked “the fourth champion” in the domestic pharmaceutical industry. It was designated as the only training base of pharmaceutical industry in China by National Institute for Food and Drug Control, the quality advantages were strengthened gradually. It has won many special honors successively including “the special prize for excellent enterprise in 30 years’ anniversary of national QC Team activities”, “social responsibility contribution award of pharmaceutical enterprise in 2008, “top 500 excellent enterprises loved by people”, “Chinese people’s well-being action pioneer” and “example of civilized unit of Jiangsu Province”. The image of the brand becomes more and more mature.
Xu Jingren concluded the successful experience of 2008 into six aspects: continuous improvement of operation level has generally shown the new achievements of scientific development of the group; the production department always satisfies the needs of the external lines, legally and effectively carries out production in guaranteeing quality, trying its best to ensure the market supply; adhering to the firm establish of the concept that “quality is life”, strengthen the quality control and focus on creating long effective quality assurance system; optimize HR control and normalize the internal management system to reserve talents for the development of the enterprise; the subsidiary companies have shown their talents in development, another batch of projects have been accelerated and the aftereffect of the enterprise’s development has been strengthened; facilitating reform of organizations and improving working efficiency, the civilized construction of the enterprise has obtained rich results.
Xu Jingren emphasized that in front of the brilliant performance of 2008, the whole group especially the management cadres on all levels shall establish a strategic vision for the crisis even in stability, overcome complacency, strengthen the awareness of unexpected development, overcome narrow vision, establish a world sight, overcome the basis on objects but stick to connecting people, face up to and solve the problems and the insufficiencies existing, establish the risk prevention system in advance so as to make the enterprise able to stably, healthily and safely go toward the goal.
When describing the development blueprint of the enterprise for the coming year, Xu Jingren pointed out that the overall requirements on the work of YRPG in 2009 are: further implement the spirit of the 17th congress of the Party, carefully study the series of instructions made by Secretary-general Hu Jintao in confronting international financial crisis and significant changes of domestic economy, implement the requirements of provincial and municipal economic working meetings, connect the reality of the group, strengthen the morality and cultural constructions, bravely liberate ideas, reform and innovate, implement the five engineering strategies including “HR resources”, “innovative R&D”, “quality assurance”, “domestic sales reform” and “operation internationalization”, to guarantee safety of quality and sales, smooth capital, and guarantee operation and production, complete the target of completing a 10% growth in production, sales and tax contribution in high quality, and facilitate the enterprise to keep a stable and relatively fast growth on the new development platform.
Xu Jingren also pointed out that the group shall actively promote the development of subsidiary companies, internal and external management reform and enterprise’s foundation construction, to make the enterprise get onto a scientific management and complete developing orbit. In order to strengthen the construction of political civilization, spirit civilization and ecology civilization, the platform YRPG Charity Fund shall be used to bear worries for the government and solve problems for the mass people, so as to make contributions to build harmonious society.
The meeting was presided over by Ji Shouru, Vice Secretary of the Part Committee and Vice General Manager of the Group. In total 2300 representatives of cadres and employees coming from internal and external lines and subsidiary companies of the Group attended the meeting.
