On November 10, a delegation led by Xu Shufan, Vice Director of Science and Technology Section of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China came to YRPG to investigate the environmental protection work.
During the investigation, Xu Shufan listened carefully the reporting made by the enterprise on environmental protection. Accompanied by Xu Jingren, the Chairman of the Board, the delegation carried out a field survey on the sewage treatment station of the Pharmaceutical Industry Park. During the development progress over 30 years, meanwhile creating wealth for the country, YRPG has always kept in mind its social responsibilities. It has taken maximization of resources’ utilization and minimization of pollution discharge as strategic goal, included environmental management into the sustainable development orbit of the company, actively engaged in green ecology work and tried to create a resource-saving and ecological friendly high-tech pharmaceutical enterprise. The enterprise has increased the investment in environmental protection, having built 3 sets of sewage treatment facilities, using physical plus biological treatment measures to treat the production waste water. The total daily treatment capacity has reached 4600t, and discharged COD lower than 100mg/L, better than Grade I discharge standard of the country. The enterprise has connected its network with the municipal environmental protection monitor center, accepting real-time online monitor from the environmental protection department on its charged water quality. YRPG has been entitled as “Green Enterprise of Taizhou City” and “Green Graded Enterprise of Jiangsu Province” successively.
Xu Shufan pointed out with emphasis that environmental protection is the life of sustainable development of enterprise, the purpose of implementing environmental protection is for better development in the future, and the enterprises shall bear the social responsibilities of environmental protection. He recognized the implementation of scientific development concepts, the high attention on ecological environment and feasibly guaranty on people’s medicine-taking safety of YRPG during the development progress. He expected that YRPG would base on creating ecological friendly enterprise, keep exerting the demonstrative function of industrial leader, carry out energy saving and discharge reduction, facilitate the harmonious development between people and nature, between employees and enterprise, so as to win better and larger environment and space for the sustainable development in the future.
