On September 24, hosted by Chinese Medical Association and prepared by YRPG, the 4th seminar of China Medical Science and Technology Award Achievements Popularization under the theme “Glory and Mission” was held in Xi’an Tang Cheng Hotel of Shaanxi Province.
The seminar was presided over by Yang Min, Deputy Secretary General of Chinese Medical Association. Famous expert in gastroenterology, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of the Fourth Military Medical University, Fan Daiming took the general chair in the session. The chairman of Shaanxi Medical Association, Li Hongguang and the Deputy General Manager of YRPG Ji Weiqun attended the seminar and gave speeches. 300 medical practitioners or so, including the presidents of AAA hospitals and doctors from five provinces in the Northwest, namely, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai and Sinkiang took part in the session.
Academician Fan Daiming pointed out in his speech that the impartiality, authority and universality of China Medical Science and Technology Award had been widely recognized in the society, endowing great significance to China Medical Science and Technology Award Achievements Popularization; the scale and influence of the popularization had to be further improved to attract more medical practitioners and contribute more to the improvement of national medical technology. Academician Fan also spoke highly of the contribution YRPG had made to national medicine and pharmacy as well as its support of national medical technology. He made his wish that the participants could fully exchange with each other and gain knowledge from the present experts and the popularized achievements to broaden their horizons and innovate their thoughts.
On behalf of Shaanxi Medical Association, its president Li Hongguang, delivered his special gratitude to YRPG for its enthusiastic support of the development of the West. He put it that YRPG had demonstrated the quality of a prominent national pharmaceutical enterprise and won the trust and respect of people in Shaanxi. He also wished YRPG greater achievements.
Ji Wequn made an introduction on the development of YRPG and expressed the gratitude for the selfless care and support from all the leaders and friends of medical and health profession. He indicated that the development of national medicine and pharmacy is in urgent need of the well care of the society; more exchange and cooperation with experts from the five provinces in the Northwest were expected for a better future.
There were three parallel sessions of the seminar with some leading experts in surgery, cardiovascular and orthopedics as well as responsible persons of the winner projects invited. As for the field of surgery, there were Professor Chen Xiaoping of Tongji Hospital in Wuhan and Professor Lyn Yi of First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Xi’an Jiaotong University; as for the field of cardiovascular, there were Professor Ge Junbo of Zhongshan Hospital Fudan University and Professor Ma Aiqun of First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Xi’an Jiaotong University; as for the field of orthopedics, there were Professor Hou Shuxun of 304 Hospital of Chinese People’s liberation Army and Professor He Xijing of Second Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Xi’an Jiaotong University. All these experts have made splendid keynote speech on their own research results.
