In middle July, the 29^th National PharmaceuticalIndustry QC Team Achievements Exchange Meetingwas held in Jinan, Shandong. YRPG won 28 QC first prizes, ranking first. In addition, YRPG's 12 achievements won the Best Publication Prizes,and YRPG was granted the title of "National Pharmaceutical Industry Quality ManagementExcellent Enterprise".Xu Jingren won the title of "National Pharmaceutical Industry QC Team Activities Excellent Leader". YRPG refreshed the national history again after winning 20 QC "Gold Medals" last year.
"QC" is short for quality control. Annual national QC activities and annual assessment can reflect the management prowess of the pharmaceutical enterprises and the QC ability in the production of medicine.There were a total of 149 teams from 100 pharmaceutical enterprises attending the QC achievement assessment. All of YRPG's 28 teams won first prizes. YRPG's subsidiaries Nanjing Hailing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Haini Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Haici Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., won a total of 5 first prizes. In this QC achievement assessment, 80 first prizes were selected. YRPG won over one third of them. Among 25 Best Publication Prizes, YRPG won 12 of them and became the biggest winner. So far, YRPG has won 73 QC first prizes in total and ranked first in pharmaceutical industry for four consecutive years.
QC team solution activities spread over YRPG. There is one QC team in every workshop and office of the Production Quality Department. As of 2008, YRPG has had a total of 46 QC teams and conducted 210 solution activities. The QC team in the hydro-acupuncture workshop proposes to adopt "foreign equipment" and invents "anti-breakage acupunctures" through technological reform, which solves the acupuncture breakage perplexing the Germany experts and wins the reward of €23,000 from the equipment manufacturers. This achievement can save over 2,000,000 Yuan each year. The QC team in the LVP workshop invents the anti-jump butyl rubber stopper. This is China's first achievement in this field and has become national patent. Besides, there are many other similar achievements. All these have helped to solve technical problems, improve product quality and create economic profits of over 50,000,000 Yuan. YRPG attaches great importance to quality and establishes complete quality management systems in drug research, supply, production and after-sale services. YRPG implements the certification management together with ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 and is dedicated to the research of international quality standards. So far, YRPG has 16 varieties of drugs which are delivered according to the standards of UnitedStatesPharmacopeia(USP) and EuropeanPharmacopoeia(EP), and is the first to propose the control standard system for excipient pigmentosas. YRPG's quality management level has reached towards a new horizon.
