On July 28, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and All China Federation of Trade Unions held the innovative enterprise construction meeting and jointly announced the first "Innovative Enterprises" list. After two-year trial work, 91 enterprises including YRPG won the title of "Innovative Enterprises". Doctor Yang Jun, President of YRPG's Pharmaceutical Research Institute attended the meeting and accepted the plaque of "Innovative Enterprises".
To implement the spirits of the 17^thNational People's Congress (NPC), promote construction of innovative enterprises and accelerate establishment of the technology innovation system with enterprise as the main body, market as guidance and combine production, learn and research, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and All China Federation of Trade Unions started the innovative enterprise construction trial work in July 2006. They chose two batches of enterprises, a total of 287, to extent the trial work. YRPG was selected as the first batch of trial units. Through two-year efforts, these enterprises have finished all construction contents in the trial plan, including construction of innovative systems and teams, transforming the innovative achievements into ability construction, and construction of innovative systems combining production, learn and research.
It is reported that the key indicators for the assessment of innovative enterprises include: innovation input, the number of owned invention patents, the number of annual transformed achievements, new products sales proportion, innovative systems and innovative ability. Through review of experts, YRPG was confirmed to meet the requirements for innovative enterprises. This indicates the State's credit for enterprises' innovative abilities and YRPG's improvement in innovative abilities.
