At Taizhou science & technology work meeting held several days ago, a group of science and technology workers in the pharmaceutical research institute of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group (YRPG) won commendations. At the meeting, Zhang Yubin, Wu Chen, Zhou Bin, Lu Hongguo and Chen Guojun, who completed YRPG's high-tech project of Bailemian Capsules and Jingqianping Granule, won the Technology Innovation Outstanding Contribution Prize. Sun Tianjiang and Lu Hongguo were honored as advanced individuals at the same time.
During the research of Bailemian Capsules and Jingqianping Granules, Zhang Yubinand others took charge of and completed various jobs including research on production technics and quality standards, declaration for manufacturing, pilot scale and increasing the newly accommodative pharmaceutical research as well as clinical research. Bailemian Capsule was the first compound product which successfully applied macroporous adsorptionresin separating and purifying technology into practical use. Through concentrated studies, Zhang Yubin and others solved numerous technological problems related to the feasibility of macro-porous resin adsorption, all sorts of technological parameters and detection methods of the residual organic solvent. The product has been approved for production and has been put on the market. This product was awarded the title of key national new product by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2006 and won the third prize of the Jiangsu Technological and Scientific Progress in 2007 (now in the publicity term). Jingqianping Granules, which are used to cure premenstrual syndrome, has filled the blank of international gynecological treatment field. This project won the second prize of State Technological and Scientific Progress in 2006, and now has been approved for production and has been put on the market.
As known, Taizhou, one of National Intellectual Property Model Cities last year, was honored as National Technological and Scientific Progress Advanced City this year. In 2007, Taizhou's high-tech industry develops rapidly and the output value has reached RMB 66,090,000,000, accounting for 29.2% of that of the enterprises above a designated scale. YRPG's Pharmaceutical Preparation New Technology Laboratory becomes one of the first National Enterprise Key Laboratories.
