In the report of the 17th National Congress of CPC, General Secretary Xu Jingtao proposed to "construct ecological civilization and fundamentally form the industrial structure, growth mode and consummation mode of resources & energy conservation and ecological environment protection". Including ecological civilization in the report becomes the new demand posed by the practice of outlook of scientific development and the ideal of comprehensively building a well-off society in an all-round way. With the new national policies, a brand new ecological age is coming.
"Build green home, produce green products, and enjoy green life." President Xu Jingren pointed out that ecological problems gradually became important criteria for consumers to evaluate products, and the enterprises' and society's attentions tended to be the same, which indicated that enterprises should think about how to invest green strategically rather than whether to invest green.

To make the environmental project of YRPG trusted by the public, YRPG is willing to be supervised by the local people, and regularly invites them to visit and inspect the disposal facilities of waste water and gases. In recent years, YRPG has spent annually over ten million Yuan on environmental protection. YRPG's headquarter in Taizhou and its subsidiaries in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Chengdu set up several sewage station and disposal center of solid wastes which are all in use. Besides, YRPG actively assists the upper environmental authority with administrative inspection. Since the running of waste disposal facilities, no illegal or undisciplined cases occur. Leaders from Pollution Division of Ministry of Environmental Protection highly praised YRPG's efforts on environmental protection when visiting YRPG in 2006.
Being a green enterprise does not mean using green technology in the narrow sense but conscientiously adjusting its own actions, taking stricter management systems, transforming from the pursuit of short-term optimization to that of long-term optimized, sustainable and maximum profits.
In YRPG, anyone who smokes, spats everywhere, or litters peels, cigarette butts and scraps will be punished to clean up and fined 10 Yuan to 100 Yuan. Those who damage the woods and public facilities in the company will be punished to recover them and fined 50 Yuan to 2,000 Yuan. Motor vehicle drivers who do not park cars in the appointed place will be fined 20 Yuan to 200 Yuan; in the same case, non-motor vehicle drivers will be fined 5 Yuan to 50 Yuan. Those who dump waste water, waste oil and solid wastes in public place will be fined 2,000 Yuan at most. In addition, motor vehicles that run at a speed of over 20 km per hour within the factory will be fined 20 Yuan to 200 Yuan.
"The implementation of strict system is for the purpose of cultivating environmental sense and making it popular among the public." Leaders of YRPG interpret it in this way.
YRPG also launches the annual environmental plan. All employees are required to immediately take actions to protect environment and carry out the activities of going to departments, sections and workshops. YRPG puts forward "five advocations", advocating the recycle of waste water after disposal and water conservation; advocating paper cups and porcelain cups for office reception and rejecting disposal plastic cups; advocating the use of both sides of paper and direct recycle of waste paper and waste paper cups; advocating electricity conservation and keeping the air conditioner temperature not below 26 in winter and not above 20 in summer; advocating the classified packaging of garbage and recycle of available wastes as much as possible. Practice "green production"
It is not exaggerated to describe the Pharmaceutical Industry Park of YRPG as spotless clean.
It is the fundamental requirement of the "green production" to keep the factory neat and clean. Undertaking the duty of protecting public health, YRPG always guards the sanitary health in the rest area, administrative area and production area.
2nd workshop of solid preparation is the very place that is guarded by "3 layers inside and 3 layers outside". Visitors have to put on shoe covers, overalls and sanitary hats to enter the workshop. No steps can be neglected. Once, a visitor with long hair had to wrap her hair in the hat with the help of our employees. "Workshop is where the medicines lie and thus we must ensure absolute sanitation."
One has to go through 5 to 6 procedures such as washing hands and disinfection before entering the production workshop. The workshop floors and walls are clean. Scrubbing the windowsill, you will find no dust in the white gloves.
All other workshops in Pharmaceutical Industry Park are like 2nd workshop of solid preparation. You have to swipe cards and wear shoe covers in order to enter Quality Test Center. Though some steps are omitted, it is actually stricter. "No man other than professional inspection personnel can enter the laboratory. They can only observe from the outside."
Those words such as sterilization room, cleaning room and preparation room show visitors how YRPG is strict with the sanitation here.
Advanced factory facilities lay the foundation for "green production". The eight white buildings located at the center of YRPG Pharmaceutical Industry Park were modern production workshops in compliance with the requirements of GMP and FDA standards. The workshops are decorated with PVC floors imported from France and colorful floors transported from Italy by air. It not only leads to beauty but effectively ensure the sealing of the factory.
At present, there are the workshop of generic solid preparation, workshop of generic lyophilized powder injection, workshop of antitumor preparation, workshop of cephalosporin preparation, and workshop of cephalosporin lyophilized powder injection & water injection in Pharmaceutical Industry Park of YRPG. Generic, antitumor and cephalosporin tablets, capsules and injections are produced. In order to promote the productivity, YRPG imported the complete set of production facilities from Germany and Italy. FETTE3200 tableting machine is capable of weighing and troubleshooting. It runs by double loading and double unloading and produces 750,000 tablets per hour on average, with the leading speed in China. BOSCH GKF2000 capsule filler imported from Germany can produce 140,000 capsules per hour, and fill materials in a completely sealed way so as to ensure medicine sanitation.
Quality Test Center almost represents the highest standard in China. 14 efficient liquid chromatography devices are all equipped with fully-automatic loading system. Among them, three devices are equipped with imported evaporativelight-scatteringdetector, one with differential detector, and two with diode array detector available for testing peak purity. Four evaporativelight-scatteringdetectors run by separating capillary with high resolution and high sensitivity, and they can effective test the residues of organochlorine pesticides and organic solvents and detect the residues of tiny organic solvents. Two high polymer impurities detectors can effectively control the polymer and reduce adverse reactions as much as possible.
The environmental regulation system of YRPG provides reliable guarantee for "green production".
In recent years, YRPG adopts advanced engineering technologies and completes a series of environmental model projects. Sewage Disposal Center adopts hypoxia, anaerobic-oxidation pond process (A2/O process), available to dispose of 600 tons of sewage per day; the sewage after disposal reaches National Level I(GB18918-2002) Standard B and Jiangsu (DB4426-2001) Level I Standard. To deal with the shortage of water resources, YRPG takes the drainage after disposal by Sewage Disposal Center as the supplemental water to the artificial lake; at the same time, the water of the artificial lake is recycled by irrigating the lawn.
In the early days the sewage was made from cement culvert. After many years, it leaked at the joints, and as a result, the sewage and rainwater pipe networks were overlapped. With regard to the problem, YRPG invested 1.2 million Yuan to lay and clean the networks again, the rainwater and sewage are thoroughly diverted and the sewage disposal costs are greatly reduced.
Solid Waste Disposal Center, built in 2006, is another spotlight in Pharmaceutical Industry Park of YRPG. In order to reach national exhaust emission standards, many most advanced environmental technologies are employed here. The burning devices of Solid Waste Disposal Center are combustion room 1 +combustion room 2 + exhaust disposal device. The exhausts go through the whirlwind desulfurization tower, are absorbed by activated carbon and cleansed by efficient bag filters. In order to reduce NOX, Solid Waste Disposal Center adopts binary combustion process control technology, removing the sulfur in gases through the whirlwind desulfurization tower. HL and dioxins are much concerned in wastes. HL and dioxins are removed in the same way by spraying lime powders in the flue for reaction in the airflow. The dioxins are removed in two steps. On one hand, the continuous automatic control of temperature restraint its generation and prevent its re-synthesis. On the other hand, adsorption section for activatedcarbonis set in the bag filter to absorb the dioxins by activatedcarbonand remove them by the bag filter.
In November 2007, verification group of ISO9001 Certificate, ISO14001 Certificate and OHSAS18001 Certificate from TUV Rheinland Group visited YRPG for the second time for annual track verification. The experts group reached the recognition that YRPG fulfilled four "100%"in standard sewage discharge rate, standard atmospheric emission rate, standard noise emission rate, and classified disposal rate of solid wastes.
