On the afternoon of March 5, General Secretary Hu Jintao and all members of Jiangsu Delegation deliberated on the Government Work Report, arousing strong response among Jiangsu delegates of 11th NPC.
The delegates felt excited and inspired when recalling the report deliberation occasion and eager expectation of the General Secretary. Within two days after that meeting, delegates universally considered that they should learn, understand and implement the important instructions of the General Secretary, build Jiangsu more prosperous with solidarity and striving, and repay the Party Central Committee and General Secretary for their care and expectation.
"Enhancing R&D ability and exploiting a road with YRPG characteristics", the expectation of General Secretary echoed in Xu Jingren's ears.
General Secretary Hu Jintao told Xu Jingren that China's industrial technology innovation lags behind the international advanced level, especially in the pharmaceutical industry. We should push forward the drug R&D and crave out our way.
"The reason why YRPG wanders in the present level and is limited in the domestic market is that YRPG has spare production force but insufficient innovation power. The judgment of the General Secretary, made from a strategically advantageous position, hits the point and suddenly enlightened me" Xu Jingren said, "The assertion of the General Secretary pointed out disadvantages of not only ours, but also the Chinese pharmaceutical industry, showing the way to surpass the international advanced level."
According to the General Secretary's instructions and the Government Work Report, Xu Jingren said that after many years of accumulation, YRPG will steadily increase the capital investment and create talent advantageous. The introduction of several foreign experts commences the move. YRPG will introduce more domestic and overseas experts, Doctors, encourage expert fusion, and particularly focus on the introduction of teams with patent projects, laying a solid foundation for R&D and innovation.
