On 20 March, Xu Jingren, National People's Congress (NPC) Delegate, returning from the First Session of the 11th NPC, conveyed the essence of the Session. Xu Jingren appealed to all Party members of YRPG to remember the eager hope of General Secretary Hu Jintao, and to pay back the kindly expectation of the General Secretary by actual move.
Xu Jingren shared his information and feelings about the First Session of the 11th NPC. Xu Jingren said that during the Session, General Secretary Hu Jintao deliberated the Government Work Report with all members of Jiangsu delegation. He felt the strong sense of great responsibility once recalling the handshaking with kindly care from the General Secretary. General Secretary Hu Jintao proposed theeager hope for YRPG, i.e. "Enhancing R&D ability and exploiting a road with YRPG characteristics", which pointed out the direction for the great-leap-forward development and innovation development of YRPG. Xu Jingren analyzed and asserted the reason why YRPG's sales volume fluctuated around $1 billion in recent years and YRPG failed to find the solution to break this impasse lies in the insufficiency of innovation and reform. Therefore, emancipating our mind and reform innovation enjoys higher priority of the great-leap-forward development of YRPG. The five years after the First Session of the 11th NPC is a precious development opportunity for YRPG, in which we shall hold high the banner of reform and innovation aloft, give full play to YRPG's strength in R&D and human resources, break the development deadlock, and strive to become a real domestic pharmaceutical giant, living up to the eager hope of the General Secretary.
