On February 14^th, eighth day the first lunar month, the fifth Folk Art Competition of YRPG was held in the Weilingxian Hall of Petrel Hotel, where happy laughter and cheerful voices filled the room. With the joy for the achievement of the previous year and the best wishes and longing for a bright future, leaders of YRPG and the staff and workers gathered together to appreciate the grand show.
22 units from headquarters and subsidiary companies of YRPG applied for the competition, among which 12 made it into the final competition. Short sketch “Feeling Report” kicked off the contest. The rap “Feng Jing Zhe Bian Du Hao (Landscape here is beyond Comparison)” celebrated the achievements of YRPG. The following shows reflected the progress made in the past, the love among the staff, the spirit of YRPG and the determination to be better. Contents of the shows came from the enterprise and the staff, which resonated well with each and every one present.
After the exciting competition, the short sketch “Change or No Change” presented by the second subsidiary company won the first prize. Three shows won the second prize; 2, the third prize; 6, the Recognition Award and 1 for Best Creation Award and Best Performance Award respectively.
Folk art show has become a cultural activity well received and loved by all the staff. Up until this year, YRPG has held five competitions for five years in a row. With an ever-improving artistic level, the shows have been highly praised by expert judges. At the end of the competition, President Xu Jingren and other leaders presented the prizes to winning units and commented their performance with enthusiasm. (Li Jiang)
