After the Spring Festival, YRPG is full of life and brimming over with vigor and vitality.
On February 17th, Luo Zhijun, Governor of Jiangsu Province, visited YRPG, the leading enterprise in Taizhou, the Medical City of China during the survey of Taizhou City. Zhu Longsheng, deputy director of the provincial People’s Congress, and municipal Party secretary of Taizhou, Li Xiaoming, lieutenant governor and secretary general of the provincial government, Bao Guoxin, vice chairman of the provincial CPPCC, and head of Finance Department of Jiangsu Province and other leaders in relevant departments accompanied the governor during the visit.
Despite the exertion of the travel, Luo Zhijun enquires about the introduction of the development of YRPG along the way of Medical High-tech Industrial Park of Taizhou – the sales performance and profits of the previous year, the ranking of YRPG in the national pharmaceutical industry, competitive products of YRPG and the development planning in the future, etc. Learning that the sales performance of YRPG has been over one billion yuan for three years in a row, and the sales performance of 2007 ranks high in the city, province and even the whole country, Governor Luo Zhijun claimed, “Excellent! I hope that you can continue to make persistent efforts and strive for more achievements.”
The grand and beautiful YRPG Medical Industrial Park, which takes up an area of 600 mu, displays the ambitions of YRPG personnel to be strong and contend for the first place.
Governor Luo walked into the front line – workshop in the Park and viewed the technology innovation of YRPG. He was amazed by the large, cutting-edge warehousing logistics system. One staff told him ERP system and integrated automation warehouse management system are adopted in the loading of goods, transformation of material inspection report from the lab to the warehouse, the transformation of materials among workshops and the delivery of products from warehouse, where the degree of informationization and automation was on the top list within China. “The storage space is made good use of. Warehousing conditions and labor efficiency are greatly improved. The method should be imitated elsewhere.” Governor Luo listened to the explanation with smile on his faces. He told personnel in charge repeatedly that drug quality was of primary importance to a pharmaceutical enterprise, which should be well controlled at the beginning.
Later, Governor Luo came to the second workshop for solid preparation in YRPG Industrial Park. With clean work suit on, he walked along the production line and asked about the production status. With the running of modern pharmaceutical equipment, end products came off the production line one after another. He paused in front of a full-automatic packaging production line and observed it. “The Ullmann Packing line is introduced from German and facilitates automatic production in packing, instruction book filling, weighing, heat shrinkage film packing, automatic unpacking, sealing and packing of boxes, with a speed of 600 plates per minute and 400 end products for each shift.” Governor Luo was strongly intrigued by the introduction of the staff. When hearing that the equipment can even detect the absence or excess of instruction books or dosage panel, he was satisfied that the modern pharmaceutical equipment could guarantee drug quality.
Xu Jingren told Governor Luo that the 8 production plants in YRPG Industrial Park were all designed in accordance with American FDA Standard and equipped with the advanced world level production facilities and that 10 products of YRPG had reached the United States and British Pharmacopoeia standards. Governor Luo was pleased to hear that the world leading drug production technology is widely applied here and that the market share of the star products of YRPG – Ginkgo Leaf Tablet and Levofloxacin Hydrochloride Capsules – was No. 1 among similar products in China. He said excitingly, “With such an advanced production technology, the next step should be to promote the products onto the international markets!”
Governor Luo was deeply concerned with the research and development planning of YRPG. Xu Jingren reported that YRPG has established the development goal of “leading in China and going onto the world stage” and will strive to make the transformation from “Made in YRPG” to “Created by YRPG” through independent innovation. With the completion of Jiangsu (Taizhou) New Drug Research Institute, Pharmaceutical Preparation New Technology National Key Laboratory and other innovation platforms, the number of national Iand IIdrugs under development was more than 10. Governor Luo nodded for praise to the development ideas of YRPG.
Governor Luo pointed out that the development prospect for pharmaceutical enterprises is bright given that the provincial government is putting forth efforts to cultivate and develop new industries. The development of pharmaceutical enterprises lies in independent innovation and the key is to attract top talents, introduce scientific research projects, and construct mechanism to concentrate talents, enhance industry-university-research cooperation and to transform scientific research advantages to innovation and competition advantages. Governor Luo hoped that YRPG could take the market commanding heights with strategic vision, become larger and stronger, and continue to play the leading and model role in the industry to be the world-class pharmaceutical enterprise soon.
The concern, care and encouragement of Governor Luo injected confidence and vitality to the development of YRPG and made every one present proud and excited. YRPG staff is determined to work with full enthusiasm in a down-to-earth manner to make contributions for the good and fast development of medicine of our country. (Li Jiang)
