At the moment of bidding farewell to the old and ushering the new, I, on behalf of all employees of YRPG, want to extend my greetings and best wishes of the new year to leaders, experts and people of all social circles from the governmental and medical health system at different levels for your long-term caring and supporting of YRPG’s development. 
YRPG created a glorious page in 2007 in its development course. Under the pressure from multiple aspects including the pharmaceutical policy, economic environment and consensus environment, YRPG people has been always persisting in the spirit of the 17th People’s Congress as its guideline, deepened its implementation of the scientific outlook on development, persisted in the innovative development, leading development and harmonious development to continue to deepen the reform, independent innovation and breakthrough so that the group has maintained a sound and rapid increase of its social and economic returns with the production and sales increased on the basis of RMB10billion level. Besides, new situation has been created in terms of the enterprise’s cultural construction and two spirits construction with new breakthroughs in the comprehensive economic strength, core competitiveness and independent innovation abilities, and the further improvement of the enterprise’s reputation, credit and overall image. All these hard-won achievements attribute to the struggling of all YRPG people, the caring and support of people from all social circles, and the correct instruction of the scientific outlook on development.
We are standing at a new historic starting point. The world is subject to wide and deep changes, the same to the pharmaceutical field. The life and health is still the theme of the times. The pharmaceutical market of China is under the historic big adjustment. On the one hand, the market’s continuous rapid increase has brought unprecedented space to enterprises; on the other hand, the enterprise’s competition enables the great increase of the market concentration. We’re facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges as well with the opportunities beyond the challenges. In order to seize opportunities and face challenges as well as accomplish various tasks of 2008, it is the most important to implement the party’s spirit of the 17th People’s Congress, highly hold the banner of scientific development, persist in following the new road of independent innovations and implementing the internationalized strategy so as to create new situation of YRPG’s undertaking in an all-round way from the new historic starting point.
In order to continue to implement the development prospect of "being leading domestically and promising internationally" and march toward the world with stronger situation from the new historic starting point with new development requirements, it should deeply implement the scientific outlook on development, activity transform the economic increase methods, seek progress in excellence so as to realize the sound and rapid development of the enterprise. The scientific outlook on development is not only the important guideline of the economic and social development of China but the important strategy that must be persisted in and implemented by YRPG with its own characteristics. The entire group shall further advance the consciousness and firmness of implementing the scientific outlook on development, persist in solving problems and difficulties by deepening the reform as required by the scientific development to lead the YRPG’s development onto the scientific direction, strive to make scientific decision, carry out scientific management and innovation, and enable YRPG to march forward on the road of scientific development.
In the new year, the drum of the Olympics Games will be more forceful, the sacred fire of the Olympic Games will illuminate the orient, the soul-stirring Olympic spirit will exert strong charisma in people’s heart. The Olympic spirit of "higher, faster and stronger" will greatly encourage YRPG people’s enterprising spirit to strive and never admit defeat, to get more golden medals, create more achievements and write new glories in the pharmaceutical "Olympic Games".
The new year will witness the 30th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up, witness YRPG’s overall reform and innovation. In retrospect of YRPG’s development history no matter the exploration period in 1970s, drastic reform in 1980s, continuous improvement in 1990s or the independent innovation in the 21st century, YRPG people has been always composing the glory history of the group’s enterprising spirit and reform for development with its unremitting reform spirit and magnificent innovation. YRPG people will be capable of composing a new chapter of reform and development from the new historic starting point in conformity with the great reform tide.

The great time inspires the vigorous strength and the scientific development displays the wide prospect. The spring wind of the 17th People’s Congress features turbulent events and the clarion of the 17th People’s Congress is still loud. Let’s join together even closely around the Party Central Committee with comrade Hu Jintao as the Secretary General, follow the direction pointed by the party’s 17th People’s Congress, unit together to conquer all difficulties and promote YRPG’s undertaking to a new height in an overall manner with more working enthusiasm, more practical working style and more scientific development thought.
