After formulating the Provincial Science and Technology Brands Assessment Method in August 2006, this is the first time for Chinese Brand Research Institute to announce the list of "China Top 500 Science and Technology Brands". It is said that Chinese Top 500 Science and Technology Brands are selected from 31 provincial science and technology brands. This lays the foundation for world brands and Chinese iconic brands. The assessment of provincial science and technology brands adopts the score system, which mainly scores from science and technology forces, brand popularity and economic benefits of enterprises. Guangdong has the most number of enterprises on the list; there are respectively 49 enterprises from Jiangsu and Zhejiang on the list.
