"The Project of Innovation Ability Construction of National Enterprise Technology Center---the R&D Ability Construction Project of Innovative Antiviral Drug" as undertaken by YRPG was accepted by the Acceptance Committee of the Economic & Trade Commission of Jiangsu Province on May 29. 

 

The Acceptance Committee was composed by relevant experts from the provincial and municipal Economic & Trade Commission, the municipal Finance Bureau and the Environmental Protection Bureau. The Committee listened in detail the project summary report delivered by National Enterprise Technology Center, reviewed relevant documents and information, surveyed the laboratories and pilot workshops of the technical center, believing it conformed to the acceptance requirements. 

 

It was understood that the project of innovation ability construction had increased the center’s independent R&D ability in designing and synthesizing antivirus drugs, which had laid down sound foundation for the R&D of innovative antivirus drugs. At present, YRPG has established three platforms including the compound molecule design, raw material drug pilot and quality control with over 60 sets equipment newly-added for R&D, testing and pilot, and scientific talents introduced to establish a R&D scientific research team. During the implementation period before and after the project establishment, over 1000 new compounds active in antivirus were designed and synthesized, in which three compounds with relatively stronger activity was undergoing the prophase pharmacological and toxicological evaluation research with five creation patents as applied for.
