The familiar tune intonated the memorable times and the flying singing agglomerated the unchanged love. In the afternoon of June 29 when the 87th birthday of the party foundation was approaching, YRPG grandly held the 9th Chorus to “Celebrate July 1” so as to extend wishes to the party’s birthday in a special way and deliver wishes to the disaster-affected people in Sichuan. 

 

The chorus has won the vigorous participation of wide employees with 16 teams from internal and external lines of the group involved. The chorus featured unprecedented pomp and vigor. 12 teams survived to the final upon scorching qualifying competition. One and another fevered song were applauded by the audience now and then with the whole auditorium overflowed with the patriotic feelings. Various teams extended their love and wished to the disaster-affected compatriots. Haici Pharmaceutical representative team lightened candles and No. 9 Company prayed for the disaster-affected people with green belts were worn to extend their care and wishes to the disaster-affected compatriots. No. 6 Company even sang the slogan of “Sichuan, come on; China, come on, Olympics, come on” with melodious harmony. 

 

A batch of performances integrating of the thinking, art, appreciation and mass were promoted in the competition. Most songs involved were created and adapted by various teams with some regarding the enterprise, such as “Yangtze River, Our Mother River”, “Yangtze River and the Sea” and “Veteran of Yangtze River ” as well as some songs including “To Create A New Family Together”, “We’re Together”, “Red Flag on the Relics” and “Great Wall of Blood and Flesh” to extend the sincere wishes to the earthquake-affected people, pay a tribute to the great ethical spirit of invincibility and all-conquering, which pushed the competition to the climax. 

 

Various participated teams paid a tribute to the party, the motherland, the new visage after reform, the new life and the enterprising spirit of YRPG people. Their unified clothing, loud and sonorous singing unceasingly pushed the competition to the climax and were applauded by the audiences now and then. Each team would not show the impression of weakness by not only competing the technique and voice but the guidance and dance with highlights emerging in endlessly. At the same time, the competition was incandesced as the most brilliant and competitive one ever since. For several times, two teams got the same mark; finally, the judges had to appraise No. 6 Company as the first prize according to the timbre, pitch, song’s difficulty and artistic expressive force; besides, No. 6 Company the Administration Department was also awarded the best creation prize. 

 

Xu Jingren, Ji Shouru, Xu Weiquan, Ji Hongquan and other group’s leaders appreciated the performance and presented awards to the awarded units.
