Hosted by Chinese Medical Association and Jiangsu Medical Association and co-organized by YRPG, Nanjing Colloquium of the Achievement Promotion Activity of China Medical Science and Technology Award featuring “glory and mission” was convened at Grand Metropark Hotel Nanjing on July 19. Han Xiaoming, Secretary General of the Appraisal Committee of China Medical Science and Technology Award presided over the colloquium with Tang Weixin, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Medical Association and Xu Jingren attended the colloquium. 

 

Han Xiaoming read the address of Wu Mingjiang, Vice Chairman of Chinese Medical Association. The address introduced the appraisal conditions of the award ever since its establishment in 2001 and delivered the passionate praise to YRPG’s self-giving contributions to the national medical and health undertaking. He pointed out that YRPG had inclusively supported to the award appraisal for seven years in succession completely out of its good desire of the medical science and technology advancement of our motherland, its love and responsibility of the medical and health undertaking of the motherland. They’d won the respect of the nationwide medical science and technology undertakers with its own practices with a sound image of the enterprise and its products established in the people’s heart.  

 

Tang Weixin pointed out in his speech that it was of great significance of facilitating the promotion and application of the awarded achievements and enabling them to better serve the people’s health. Jiangsu, a big province of medicine nationwide, demanded to enhance its exchange and cooperation in terms of the science and technology talent, the transformation of the scientific and technological achievements. He highly appraised YRPG’s efforts in promoting the medical science and technology advancement in hopes that the attending representatives could make use of the colloquium platform to study and use for reference the advanced science and technology achievements so as to promote the further improvement of the medical science and technology of the entire province. 

 

President Xu Jingren introduced the enterprise’s development at the colloquium, stating that the enterprise was responsible for revitalizing the national medical undertaking and improving the medical science and technology in hopes that the promotion of the awarded achievements in Jiangsu could better serve the people’s health of the whole province, facilitate the exchange and communication in the medical science and technology field effectively, create conditions for the unceasing integration of more medical science and technology achievements, and bring forward growth and improvement on a larger scale of Jiangsu medical science and technology.  

 

The past five winners of China Medical Science and Technology Award, including Professor Zhao Jizong from Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Professor Ning Guang from Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University, Professor Ruan Changgeng from No. 1 Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University, Professor Wang Hong from Jiangsu People’s Hospital and Professor Li Ning from Nanjing General Hospital of Nanjing Military Command delivered specific reports on the own research achievements respectively. 

 

The promotion activity of China Medical Science and Technology Award was initiated at Beijing on May 17. Nanjing was the second station of the nationwide promotion activity.
