From November 28 to November 30, the yearly grand meeting of pharmaceutical and health field of Jiangsu-the 7th Jiangsu Hospital Directors Forum and 2008 Academic Annual Conference was held ceremoniously in Petrel Hotel of YRPG. Guo Xinghua, Director of the Department of Health of Jiangsu Province, Li Jian, Section Chief of the Department of Civil Affairs of Jiangsu Province, Tang Weixin, Vice President of China Hospital Association and Jiangsu Hospital Association, and Xu Jingren, Chairman of the Board of YRPG, etc. attended the opening ceremony and made speeches respectively. 

 

In the middle of October, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the Opinions on Deepening Medical and Health System Reform (Exposure Draft) on its website to ask for opinions from the society. The medical and health system reform expected by the public for long is already in the front. In order to deepen reform on the management system and the operation system of the medical treatment organizations, strengthen hospital management and facilitate the medical institutions to develop well and fast as well as to provide safe, effective, convenient and cheap medical services. The forum and academic annual conference, under the topic of “medical system reform and hospital development strategies”, has attracted more than 400 people including the directors of hospitals of all the places over the province and the hospital management staffers. 

Guo Xinghua emphasized that reform and innovation of management system of public hospitals is imperative. Liberating thinking and being down-to-earth must be adhered to. The medical organizations all over the province should deeply implement scientific development view, actively explore and be brave in innovating, continuously improving the public health service system covering urban and rural areas and providing safe, effective, convenient and cheap public health and medical services to the public. He expected that the attendants of the meeting could learn and exchange more, inspire each other and jointly facilitate the medical treatment and health level of Jiangsu to move onto a new step. 

 

Xu Jingren expressed his congratulations to the holding of the forum and annual meeting. He introduced in details the development situation of YRPG in details to the meeting attendants. He said, as the manufacturer of health products and the leading enterprise of the pharmaceutical industry in Jiangsu, YRPG would bear the same missions as the medical institutions. The enterprise would stick to the way of innovative development, strictly control the quality of medicine, try hard to research and develop more medicine of good quality and effects, providing safe, effective, quality and cheap health services to the public. 

 

On the meeting, commendations were conferred to excellent contribution awards in national hospital management and excellent hospital directors of China as well as excellent paper writers of the 7th “YRPG Cup” Hospital Director Forum of Jiangsu Hospital Association and the winner units of the forum organization award. 

 

Guo Xinghua and Li Jian inaugurated for the newly established Jiangsu Modern Hospital Research Management Center. 

 

Annual report of Jiangsu Hospital Association and 2008 and comprehensive academic reports of all branches of 2008 were listened to and discussed on the meeting. Professor Gu Xin from School of Government Peking University, Tang Weixin, President of Jiangsu Hospital Association, Wang Hong, Director of the People’s Hospital of Jiangsu Province, and Ge Jianyi, Director of No. 1 Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University made academic reports and interactive conversations respectively. 

 

The representatives attending the meeting visited and made a survey on YRPG.
