Show love to heroes and carry forward their spirits to inspire the offspring. On September 16, jointly hosted by Chinese Medical Doctor Association, China Care Association and YRPG, anti-SARS YRPG relief fund donation ceremony was held in Great Hall of the People. Vice Chairman of the standing committee of NPC Han Qide, Honorary President of Relief Fund Management Fund Commission Wu Jieping, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee of Organs directly under the Ministry of Health Dou Xizhao, President of Chinese Medical Doctor Association Yin Dakui, President Xu Jingren attended the ceremony.

 

In this spring, in the battlefield of SARS without smoke of gunpowder, extensive soldiers in white bravely charged in the forefront, disregard their safety to save patients, and finally explored precious experience for fighting against SARS with their own life endangered. They saved numerous patients and made important contributions to the anti-SARS cause of China and even the world. YRPG donated one million Yuan as the relief fund for families of medical workers who died in line of duty. This fund was approved by the Ministry of Health to set up and jointly managed by Chinese Medical Doctor Association and China Care Association. Hospital of Beijing PAP Corps, Guangzhou Chest Hospital, Beijing People's Hospital and 28 medical workers including Doctor Li Xiaohong, Doctor Chen Hongguang and Nurse Wang Jing that made important contributions to fighting against SARS were funded by the Foundation.

 

Vice Chairman Han Qide pointed out that human beings had to fight against with viruses for a long time and we relied on spirit, science, law, mass and CPC and the government to gain victory. He expected that the whole society could show more concern and understanding to medical workers, unite our wills as a fortress to defeat SARS. President of Chinese Medical Doctor Association Yin Dakui proposed the requirements of forming SARS Control Emergency Center and preventing SARS comeback.

 

When SARS prevailed, YRPG made worries of the people our own, worked overtime for production and conveyed nine anti-SARS medicines. Besides, YRPG donated medicines worth 5 million Yuan to Guangdong, Beijing, Shanxi and Tianjin. YRPG adhered to the due social responsibilities of a pharmaceutical enterprise, which won extensive praise from society.

 

Representative of NPC and President Xu Jingren said that, inspired by the spirit of anti-SARS heroes, YRPG would practice the important thought of "three representatives", held high the banner of "seeking progress and protecting people", respect science, respect talents, respect lives, research and develop more new medicines with unique effects to contribute to the society, and make new contributions to the revitalization of national medical cause.

 

In the donation ceremony, Chairman of Management Committee of the Fund Foundation Yin Dakui received the donation of one million Yuan from YRPG. Honorary President of the Foundation Wu Jieping issued the letter of appreciation to President Xu Jingren. Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee of Organs directly under the Ministry of Health Dou Xizhao, on behalf of the Ministry of Health, issued the Certificate of Honor to YRPG.
