Combine Industry and Tourism to Improve Brand Image

YRPG(hereinafter referred to as YRPG), known as the “flagship” of industrial tourism in Taizhou, has attracted an increasing number of visitors in recent years. YRPG was founded in 1971. Over 35 years since its establishment, it has been applying itself to expanding and strengthening its business with the goal of becoming an internationalized enterprise. The enterprise has grown from a small factory into a big modern medical enterprise, which is now a cross-region and leading enterprise integrated with science, industry and trade. It has remained in the first place among the medical enterprises for 3 consecutive years.

In recent years, YRPG shows its bright image, standard production operation, good products and rich enterprise culture to the public, it has built a new platform for enterprise publicity, brand building, and sales promotion as well as benefit improvement. Through the popular industry tourism, YRPG has publicized its brand and improved the image of Taizhou, more than that, it has developed a large group of loyal customers, creating a new profit point for the enterprise.

YRPG attracts many tourists with its advanced production process and high technology. Led by the tourist guide, you can enter the modern workshop, quality inspection center, and automatic cubic warehouse, where you can satisfy your curiosity by learning something about the production process of medicine and acquainting yourself with the charm of the development of its science and technology.

The modern workshops, such as solid preparation workshop, Tou Bao workshop, workshop of lyophilized powder of anti-cancers, are equipped with the world-class pharmaceutical facilities, and they attract the tourist most. The No 2 solid preparation workshop has the capacity of producing 800 million tablets and 400 million capsules annually, with a production value of 350 million Yuan per year. However, there are only 25 workers here, and it has won the praise and admiration from of many visitors.

The unique human scenery is another bright spot of the enterprise’s tourism. Dong Fanghong square, cable-stayed bridge, and the century pearl tower help to form the Yangtze River’s particular enterprise culture. Dong Fanghong square, designed by Shanghai Landscape Gardening Design Institute and built with 3 million Yuan, is the patriotism education base and landmark of the Yangtze River. Many tourists will come to visit Yangtze River in high spirit and always like to take photos of these fantastic sceneries.

The beauty of this garden-like, modern factory charm tie visitors and made them so happy that they would like to stay forever if possible. On 18th April this year, the program named “The Network Media of China Looking to Taizhou” arrived at its last stop:YRPG. Entering the main gate, all the journalists were attracted by the beautiful environment: there are green grasses, little bridges, flowing water, rocks and waterfalls, and European style buildings. They could not help exclaiming: “it’s more than a factory, it’s really a garden!”

“We’ll plant the Yangtze River brand deeply in the people’s mind by developing our industrial tourism, and let them think of YRPG on hearing the name of Taizhou.” Board Chairman Xu Jingren said.
